Complaint taken by BBB employee over the phone.
I had a problem with water damage, second fl bathroom and hallway. He was supposed to send additional info into ***** ****. Due to this, they did not reimburse me for the work. I paid him $4700.00. That is a lot of money for me. There are a couple of things which were not completed.Business response

Good afternoon the insurance didn't reimburse everything as stated because of items considered to be an upgrade new tub - plumbing was not covered because that was the cause of the leak- the surround - This was stressed multiple times through conversations about insurance that although we would try the insurance company has control of what they will pay for. I'm very sorry that insurance didn't reimburse you for everything i had hoped they would but i have no control over insurance. The info was sent.to insurance and to ****** via email our contract was signed on your behalf by ******. The same as they all have. We haven't received any calls to our office or messages about any issues not being completed.. Insurance paid for project that were under the covered loss (the payments were made to *************************** direct not to Univera Construction LLC. . If there are any unfinished items please feel free to call our office so we can address the items. Once again we are sorry that the insurance company didn't reimburse for any upgrade items. all documents were sent to ****** along with insurance. we are not the insured nor had any contracts with your insurance company for them to work directly with us. Please understand that all out work was approved by ****************. *************************** and verified when we completed.Customer response

My insurance company, ***** ****, indicates they will review the matter further if they receive pictures of the original damage and an explanation of any and all damage he found after initial tear out work.Business response

In regards to this matter complaint ********. This is second time responding. After speaking with ************************** the insurance has found documents and supporting items for her claim (the insurance put her items in wrong claim.) And have agreed to reimburse her. Per phone conversation earlier this week. With her caretaker.
As far as we are concerned the items have been addressed.Customer response

I called & sent fax stating State Farm was to fault in this claim.
