I've been going to Power Shack Gym Fitness Center in Hilliard for many years. I really like it. It has a low-key friendly atmosphere. When I began, **** ******* was the manager and he was highly skilled, very nice, and helpful. I'm not sure who is managing now but they are also doing a good job. Power Shack has a wide range of equipment, some classes, and some trainers who are connected with the gym. Women are welcome, but there are more men than women in this gym and the TV's are usually tuned to the sports channels. The attendant will change the channel for you, but I am reluctant to ask unless I'm the only one watching. There are restrictions against grunting and dropping barbells loudly, but the customers don't always comply. Still, it is on the whole a very civilised gym and these problems are minor. The locker room is always clean. An older person, such as I, will likely feel welcome and comfortable.Review from Michael C

After being a member for over a year I went to cancel my membership and was told I was not able to cancel in person and had to cancel through a third party billing service, of which I had never been informed prior to. After sending and email I was informed I was still responsible for 30 more days of payments even though a payment had just been made. Long story short after three months of going back and forth with the third party company and still being charged I was finally informed there was two account numbers associated with my plan and that the second number had never canceled and was still being charged. Powershack is an absolute joke of a gym, it’s unorganized, the staff is constantly changing, the floor is never clean and the bathroom are absolutely disgusting. If you enjoying paying into a scam, working out in filth, and not being able to cancel your membership Powershack is the place for you.*Review from BBB Reviewer 5

I went in to cancel my membership after only two weeks of being a member at Powershack gym, despite it being my nearest gym for miles. *** gym was filthy, half of the equipment was out-of-order, and the dumbbells are thrown all about without any numbers.After being told in person that my membership was cancelled, I joined another gym. Months later, I notice that they had been billing me. When I called to cancel again, I was informed that I had to contact their billing company to halt the payments. ***y never notified me that I needed to personally cancel my contract with a third-party ****** and claimed that they had no ability to cancel the contract.Powershack gym is a complete dump: half of the equipment is out of order, its filthy and smells, the dumbbells are falling apart and do not have any numbers on them, and then they may fraudulently **** you by trying to make you cancel through their shady third-party billing company.
