The company put up a deck and fence for us over the summer. They are suppose to come out and fix the issue with the deck. They are not returning our phone calls or text to have these issues resolved. When they put up our fence the work crew was unprofessional. The work on the fence is not even and boards are already warping.Business response

We have not received any calls or texts in regards to the clients deck or fence issues. We honor our warranty policy and will gladly come fix any issues you are having. We had Outdoor Installations out for an estimate to replace our deck. Came out quickly and provided estimate later that day via email, this was on 6-6. We approved the quote on 6-19 and made the required 50% down payment on 6-19. Paid the deposit on 6-23 and check was cashed on 6-29. On 6-28 we applied for our permit with the city. 7-6, I was notified by the city that further information was needed from the contractor. I notified him the same day. Finally, after multiple phone calls to see if contractor provided proper required info to city, it was finally received on 8-7. Permit was given on 8-14 and contractor was notified. Received call from Doug on 8-15 and said he will be the one to build the deck and should get started on 8-21. We are still waiting for job to start with no communication from contractor. I called on 8-25 and was told she would check in with Doug and call me back, again as of today, 8-29, no communication has been received as to when things will get started. So, my issue is that there has been such a lack of communication, rarely catching someone, leaving voice mail with no return calls and still not even getting the deck started. Tired of waiting....would not recommend this contractor. Would just cancel and get deposit back and go with someone else, but was told there was a 15% restocking fee of the supplies. However, I looked at the contract and did not see this stated anywhere. I'm unable to upload and send any paperwork that I have but would gladly mail you copies. Thanks for you help in perhaps getting this resolved. At this point, I think we should absolutely receive a discount for all the difficulties we have had, or receive 100% of our deposit back.Business response

We spoke with *** ******* and came to an agreement to include a discount on her deck. The project will be started on Monday September 11, 2023. We explained that we do not have set install dates as things such as weather, illnesses, inspections, ect can push our time lines back. Dee Anna expected us to call everyday with an update and we are running a company and can not push off other customers to appease her daily. Office personnel kept her updated as needed as well as installer.
