Had a letter sent out stating that I can be approved for a brand new car because of me filing bankruptcy. The company name is REM Division of Notification 1425 K Street NW Suite 3 Washington DC 1*********1. THE DEALERSHIP name is Rick H in Duluth Georgia. That they work with.

This is not a complaint just a statement. They responded to ******** D and were apparently not satisfied. I do not know what to answer.

The letters are real but never say approved for a brand new car. They offer a pre-qualification based on the customers information found in the

court records. If the customer has income to make the payments the bank will make a final judgment. ******** is one of the best dealers

we work with and can normally get a high percentage of approvals if the customer meets income and residence requirements. I would need

more information in order to make a final answer on this statement.

I have never been a customer with this company and they have somehow gathered my personal information and have taken it upon themselves to mail me promotional/marketing spam. -I will be requiring that the business removes all of my personal information from their databases -I will be requiring that the business provides all information on where and how they purchases/gathered my information from. It is illegal for companies to gather and store individuals personal information without their knowledge and consent.

We will remove the customer from all of our mailing lists. The list you are speaking of is Supplied by the US Court system and is public to all who request it.

That list is in effect for 10 years after Discharge and will be used by many. There is currently no possible way to remove you from this list because

all court information is public per US Laws.

We will not mail to you in the future.

      Thank you

      Dear ********

We have searched our data base and found nothing there with your name.

We do not regularly send mail to Iowa. Is there a chance you moved from some where else and mail is being forwarded to you? The other possibility is a misspelling of the name.

If so we will need your full name and or address where your case was filed to find your information.

Please advise so we can help you.

For over 2 years, this company has repeatedly harassed me through USPS with vehicle financing spam. I figured it would stop if I didn't respond.. But this has gone on long enough. I've tried to search for a place to electronically get a message to them. But none except for this has come up. This is a huge red flag for a scam. Stop wasting paper and hurting the environment by sending me spam in order to try and get a buck out of me. I kept my vehicle in my settlement. I don't have the need for your services. I wouldn't use it regardless. I would also like to hope that you make a company wide change and limit your spam to 2 letters and stop if no response in order to attempt to save the environment and stop caring about the wad in your wallet. Ridiculous...

We will take the customer off our list. Sorry for the contact but the ******* dealer is highly rated with us, GM and the BBB.

Our business is a service not a harassment. What we do helps people obtain good financing for a car after bankruptcy from a new car dealership.

thousands have used it and are happy customers.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I also hope they look up the definition for harassment. Repeated attempts of unwanted contact is part of harassment. You can't just change the definition of a word to suit the business..

My bankruptcy discharged amd I recieved a communication from this company. It was stamped "discharge information" on the outside. I have an issue with this for 2 reasons. Number 1, it has my name amd address on it with that stamp, meaning everyone in contact with that letter has my personal information. Number 2, the letter is an advertisement disguised as an official notification, and that is extremely misleading. Frankly, I didn't ask to be advertised to, and no opt out is provided. Everything about this has a bad odor. Interestingly, they also claim to have BBB accredation while maintaining a strong 1 star rating when searched on the BBB website.

We Normally respond to the customer far faster than the courts do. We intentionally  leave out the word Bankruptcy so as not to disclose to the post office what the discharge is about. Only you would know what it involves. All information from the court uses Bankruptcy court on the outside of the envelope. We will be happy to remove you from our list if you give us your Name, address and customer code.  E mail it to me At rm*****@remautomotive.com.  I am sorry if this upset you but there are 100s of discharge types available and we do not disclose Bankruptcy on the outside of the letter. Just trying to help you reach a good qualified dealer that does not try to take advantage of your situation. Let me know by e mail if I can be of further assistance!
