Ill start this review off on a good note. The school is very aesthetically ************ see how thats the only thing I can name good about them? This was a terrible experience as a student. The entire administration financial department is completely unprofessional, rude homophobic, racist, and every other name I cant think of right now. For just a few examples, I am autistic and that was portrayed as soon as I came and signed up for the program. It doesnt help that they just hire any hairstylist that they find off the street doesnt matter how many years theyve been doing Hair. There was one class in particular that I really did not do well in. In actuality, the entire class failed at least three tests from this class. THEIR RULES State that you are no longer allowed to perform certain services if you have failed test And you can only be able to perform those services again if you retest and pass. It took me almost 2 months and blackmail to state board to finally get the time to sit down study for all of these tests that I had failed. I also have naturally curly hair and at the time I was one of the darkest people in this entire school. I got a low-grade on my hair.(Oh yes, they graded you on your appearance too) And considering these factors that felt a little weird. I thought I was addressing the problem with the director but instead of getting a apology I got do you need to learn how to smooth out your hairA fellow student who was gender fluid, born a female, Would normally come to school with very extravagant feminine makeup. They came to school one day with a more masculine look while still following the rules with the make up they just kept it more natural. They got a lower grade on their makeup and asked why and the school director told them ,I kid you not, you were born a female so you have to look like one. I have a lot more complaints, but this review will not allow me to address them all. Save your money go to a normal state cosmetology school

this school is a scam do NOT go here for your education in cosmetology. They only care about their students working for free in their salon and charge them for every little thing including charging them for any hours they miss due to illness. they do not make classes easily accessible and only want to have the students working in the salon or working on their mannequin head rather than teaching them in a classroom. definitely NOT worth the 23k they charge, you are better off going to the state beauty academy for a heck of a lot money because they sure don't teach you anything special at this school compared to the state school.
