Received estimate on 5/5/23 and paid $350.00 down payment. Called on 6/23/23 and was told haven't started sealing would be couple weeks. Called 7/28/23 and was told running behind, probably couple weeks equipment down straightened out now should be couple weeks. Called 9/7/23. ***** returned call wouldn't be back in office until tomorrow. Have to look at schedule Told him if I didn't have date by tomorrow I want money back. He said no problem up to me. Called 9/14/23 ***** called me. told him want money back and he said no problem would get check out probably 1st of week. Called 9/29/23 and left message called 10/4/23 and left a message called 10/23/23 talked to ***** he said he would call office and get back with me. Called 10/27/23 twice and ***** called back and said I would have check in box tomorrow called 10/31/23 and left a message.

Original invoice was dated March 5th, 2020 for the removal of 2 driveways, a back patio and the installation of 2 driveways, a back patio slab, and a front patio for a porch, along with a pad for trash can. The cost was $20,797.00 and carried a 5 year warranty on work. Was told it would be rebar enforced which would all be tied and pinned and a base of 5in. of top quality concrete. Do to labor shortages the project took several weeks to start and almost 5 months to complete. They worked a day then would be gone for 2 or 3 weeks and then return for a day, etc. None of the concrete was tied/pinned, the rebar was just thrown down. Was told it didn't have to be after the fact which I believe is one of the reason for all the cracking. The job had not even been finish for a week before the first cracks started form. Within the first year we lost count. There are many spots the concrete is rolled and wavy as well as many spots that are low and hold water. They Installed drain trays across the driveway that with minimal rain flood and back flow into the garage. We have tried repeatedly to have them come out and was told warranty work gets done in the fall but no one will even come out and the salesman which was our point of contact stopped answering my text and phone calls. The foreman that poured the original driveways and patios said he was severely under staffed when he poured them and the workers he had were pretty much all new. The concrete is already starting to erode in several areas. There is one of the many cracks that runs across both driveways and all the way through the front porch patio and is nothing but an eye sore. I was told by the salesman to not contact the owner Joe unless I wanted to get my head ripped off and belittled. Some of the concrete isn't even 3 inches thick. I'm afraid to have anything heavier than a car on either driveway when the intent was to park a 5th wheel camper on it. We signed an agreement with Elite to fix our driveway. We gave them a deposit and they cashed the check a year ago. We have called them many times and stopped by the business. When we stopped by the business, the lady at the desk was nice. The owner would not even talk to us. The person who came to the house and gave us the agreement, *****, has called back a few times to say he would get us on their schedule. He has used covid, the weather and everything else as an excuse. He called and said they would be here on a date and didn't show up. We have a copy of the signed agreement and I have notes and dates of when we called the business and *****. They told us Oct. 2021, then they said March 2022, then they said July 2022, then they said August 2022. We need help. We gave them a $2500.00 deposit.Initial Complaint

Elite came to our home and did an estimate for our driveway. The estimate was dated 3/31/21 for $3548. We had to put half down so we paid $1792 and they cashed it on 4/9/21. I have a copy of the estimate, statement of when they cashed out check, and a copy of the check wrote. We were told it would be the end of August before they could do it which was fine with us. They never showed up in August of 2021 so we contacted them and they said they were short staffed so it would be the end of September 2021. They never showed up. We have contacted them several times. At least once a month since August 2021. We have text messages and outgoing calls to them for proof. We told them if they can not come as soon as possible then we just want our money back. This conversation was June 2022. The gentleman said his accounting department cuts checks on the 15th. We still have not got our money back so we contacted them again. We were told they are running behind again. Elite committed to tearing out our old asphalt and top soil 512 square feet. Set grade with compacted stone and pour new concrete 4’’ thick with rebar 3 on 3 throughout and replace asphalt and widen driveway to 17” with connecting curve to front sidewalk. Broom finish with a picture frame edge. Saw cut & seal. 5 year warranty. We want our money back and feel we should be compensated for this business having our $1792 for 1 year and 3 months with absolutely no work done or them trying to make things right with us. We will never trust another business with our money after this awful experience. We could have had a drive done last year by a different business If we would have known it would take this long. Poor poor customer service and we would never recommend this place to anyone. We have pictures and copies of all of this if it needs to be shown. We want our money back as soon as possible and feel they should compensate us for pretty much borrowing our $1792 that we could have used this past year. We are upset!!!!!!Customer response
