DMS Rehab Properties and its owner **** ******* is very unprofessional and a liar. He signed a contract to take care of repairs on that is listed in the contract. **** received half of the funds from **** **** *****. They did not do half the work. The other half of the payment, **** **** ***** is holding until the repairs are done. **** keeps lying saying I am waiting until the weather is good or he will lie and say that his workers was suppose to have come and did the work. He had since October 2023 and there has been many of days with good weather including today, was 75 degrees. **** has no intention of finishing the work. He got off with $2500.00. These repairs are supposed to be done within 6 months per the city of Euclid. It is March of 2024 and 6 months will be April. I want him to finish the work or pay the 2500.00 to the Title company so I can get another contractor asap. I want this complaint to go on file so that other consumers do not hire him as a contractor. I seeking an attorney for further representation.Business response

to whom it may concern : we started work on monica wilson house and the weather got bad . the winter started and a lot of work that had to be finished was outside work . we had a few warm days in the winter but we basically shut down all outside work in the winter . I them was contacted by the BBB and i stated the same thing to them. then a lawyer sent me a letter and stated we had not been over there but one time ( which was not true ) I responded to the lawyer and i never got a response from him . we have every intent on finishing the work but i thought i was going to be able to set up times with their lawyer. the reason i was waiting on the lawyer was i didnt know if the situation was going to be hostile or not. we still want to finish the work didnt know if they wanted us back out there or not . I had surgery during this process so i was recovering im now back at work and able to make sure things get finish .Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The contractor **** is a liar. He kept telling me that he was coming out and then on some occasions he would say the workers said they were coming and said he would talk to the workers. I’m not stupid nor dumb he took and stole half of the money that was given, which was $2,500.00. He had no intent of finishing the work and he never said he was closed for the winter. If that was the case why did he take the job and signed the contract. My lawyer left him a message and he did not return his call. I had to find someone else to do the work. I don’t want him near my home. I don’t trust him and I don’t appreciate him taking advantage of me because I’m a woman. I want him to refund me my money back for not completing and putting me under distress. If you look at his reviews I am not his only victim. He should not get away with this. I want my money or I want him to never get a license to work in the state of Ohio and his business should be shut down. Pay me my money back.

first of all i never lied to you most of your contact was not with me it was with my assistant. You was told we didnt work in the winter a few times.
i told the bbb we was going to finish this job when they first contacted me , but the next day i got a letter from your lawyer stateing that we did no work
and only came to your house once which is a complete lie. i called your lawyer left a message and never heard from him . i have never took money from anyone . we were waiting to hear from your lawyer never heard anything until the bbb called me back . we have materials for your job that was purchased . we have done a lot of the items on the list . we spent a lot of time troubleshooting your electrical issues that we told were not covered in the contract and no response from you . most of the time some one ( your boyfriend ) was talking to mike not me . . he was covering jobs because i was
i was sick and then i had surgery . i not sure what happen because i was in and out the hospital . I'm mostly recovered now. please contact me so we can figure this out. no one is trying to take advance of you or anyone else.
