We built our home through ********** and upgraded the carpet to the second tier. It was initially installed by Way Floor Covering. There are large gaps between the carpet and the baseboard, my family is constantly stepping on tack strip spikes, and the carpet looks like it was cut by a 2nd grader. At the instruction of our builder, Way Floor Covering came back out to try and fix the gaps where the carpet doesn't meet the baseboard. After a few attempts of trying to fix it (and not making it any better), we politely expressed our dissatisfaction. This was met with scoffs and snickers behind my back from Danny and his cohort. I explained that it may not be important to them, but we paid a lot of money for the house and carpet and would like it to be done right. Danny then began to tell us that the reason it won't stretch is because we didn't buy real carpet, and that this is the stuff they put into apartments. It was now our fault that he didn't cut the carpet straight. We got our builder from ********** on the phone, who explained that everything Danny was saying was nonsense and he just needed to fix his mistake. Unsurprisingly, Danny had an attitude about it, mouthed off to me in front of my kids and tried to leave before we could check that he fixed the issue. When I told him to stop because I wanted to make sure he didn't tear anything up, his face contorted angrily and he snarked "Oh yeah! I busted the walls up real bad up there!" At that point, I had had enough, and with a raised voice, I told him to get out of my house before I kicked him out. He told me to try it, and I almost obliged, but he left before it came to that. All in all, it was an awful experience with Way Floor Covering. I should never have my 7 year old come up to me and ask, "why did that man just say he was going to bust a hole in our wall?" Everybody makes mistakes, but you have to own up to them and make things right. Danny W** does not adhere to this philosophy. 0 stars.
