Bought a vehicle from their lot on 10/18/22... Was told at that time by the guy and his wife that they just put a new water pump in it... Drove it home and parked it because it was for my daughter... 3 days later when my daughter came to test drive it ; it was smoking so bad and leaking oil and the Temperature gauge was going up-and-down.. Called the lot to complain and he told me that he would not be giving me my money back and that I could take it for a mechanic to look at. So I drove it back down to Marion from Lima and spoke with their mechanic Who informed me that he never put a water pump on that truck and he never even touched that truck. He told me to leave it there so he could look at it and it was there for 2 weeks. I just picked it up today drove it home after they supposedly fixed it and it's smoking so bad and the temperature gauge is still on high and am being told thats its the valves which is a couple thousand dollars to fix. My daughter needs a reliable car to get back-and-forth to work and get her kids to school. This is ridiculous that they lied to me. I just want my money back so I can find her a reliable vehicle. They've erased all of my messages and they do not answer me when I call the shop. They did me dirty and I just want my money backBusiness response

I responded to this complaint on Nov 19th via email but am doing it again. We have tried to help this lady and would appreciate it if she would stop contacting us via messenger and FB. If she has any issues she needs to call the lot at *************Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:They have not resolved anything...They never answer their phone and when Someone does answer they don't know what's going on and says nobody else is there. The guy I've been messaging on messenger is no help either. He is rude and said that he would help but never did. He just keeps saying that we did something to it. Like really...why would we buy it for my daughter and then mess it up. We bought it, brought it home. Cleaned it up and parked it. She test drove it and then we contactcted them about the smoke and water pump. I was contacting him because nobody ever answered at the Lot. This is crazy! We have had the car for about a month and can't drive it! Wasted time and gas money going there. They lied about it having a new water pump when we bought it. My brother is the one that went with me and he actually only test drove it like 5 minutes because they were closing. I've drove it back to have it looked at but it still smokes so bad and smells like oil burning. Abd it looks like someone scraped thd whole driver side on something while they had it. My daughter can't drive it like that. It just sits here. I want my money back! They shouldn't have lied to begin with!!!

**** was aware of the vehicle needing a windshield at the time of purchase which is why we lowered the price to help with the cost of the windshield.Customer response

Once again I cannot believe that we're not getting this resolved.... It has been well over a month. In regardless of I signed and as is document I was not anticipating having all these issues after only 3 days.. I think they should be reliable. We spent $2100 for this car, $400 for a new windshield, $116 for a diagnostic test, Gas money for going back-and-forth to their Lot And we have a car that just sits here, unable to drive because it has too many issues and I dont have the money to fix it. I've called and spoke to Robin at the lot several times. She tells me that she has notes and she has my number and she will call me back when they figure out something but once again I hear nothing. This is ridiculous ! My daughter needs a car... She has to rely on people to get her to work and get her kids to school. I just cannot believe that these people were that dishonest and shady. I've found several comments online of other people whos had issues with this lot. I just can't believe they can do this to people ! I think they should be fair and at least help me out here. At this point I would settle for at least half my money back because we're gonna have to end up finding her a different vehicle. I'll Probably have to end up selling this one and I'm not gonna get nothing out of it because it's junk.. Unlike them I'll be truthful to the buyer and let them know that it has all these issues. I know they probably paid less than $500 for it when they bought it So I think asking for half of my money back is fair especially since all the crap I've had to deal with. Lots of stress and anxiety ... Not something I wanted deal with especially around the holidays. Please help me out here !! How would they feel if this happened to them... Consumer bought 2010 Lincoln MKT on 3.7.22 for $6000 cash On 3.17.22 she was driving home when the car made a weird noise, a clunking sound and quit running at a stop sign. It would not restart so consumer had the auto brought to her home and called the car lot. She told them what happened but was told the owner was not in and she'd have to call back. Every day there is some excuse why he cannot talk to her. She has tried to call for 2 weeks. Salesman told her she could bring it in and mechanic would look at it but told her he did not have the authority to fix it and she'd have to talk to the owner. She left the car there but owner has not called her. She does not have the title yet. Consumer likes the car and would like to have it repaired so she can keep the vehicle.Business response

On March 31, 2022 ******** ****** came to the office of Mom's Used Cars and we discussed with her about her purchasing a motor for the vehicle and that the car lot would put it in at no charge to her. She agreed to those terms
