This project was done hastily to get it done and be on to the next job without any care for quality or care for the customer. It was said to be done incorrectly by an independent inspector and has absolutely terrible craftsmanship. Despite pictures and complaints the owner does not care who says what now that he has been paid. Every complaint receives a lazy and halfhearted excuse as to why the owner is right and the customer is wrong with no desire to fix a problem and there are many problems. Do your research and at all costs avoid working with CMR. It is a company run by angry irresponsible people who just want your money.

      Hello ****,

Thank you for taking the time to write this complaint, however we disagree with your statements.

Your project was completed over 2 years ago in September 2022 and PASSED INSPECTION by two different building inspectors for your county - which you are fully aware.  To satisfy your concerns, we contacted the building inspectors directly and they agreed to meet at your home again, which you declined a few weeks ago when we last spoke. I understand another company is giving you this information/feedback.  Since this is highly unprofessional we contacted the business, that you specifically named, that allegedly spoke negatively about our build. The owner said he was never at your home, nor his salesperson and hasn't done any job quoting or work in your area.  So I am unclear on this...

We have always listened to your past concerns and addressed them, so I not sure why you are stating there are "Service Issues" with our company.  The Owner himself came out to replace the manufacturer defected rail post dress ring, at no cost to you. There is one pending issue that we thought was fixed on September 5, 2024, but understand now that we need to address again.  Just last week you sent in photo's of your deck boards gapping, which is the nature of composite decking, it expands and shrinks as the weather changes. We are not trying to argue with you, as you state, but this is not a workmanship issue. Composite decking is simple made that way.

Obviously, you felt the need to write this comment, even though we already said we would handle your issues (as we have over the past two years). Furthermore, even though your warranty has expired with us, we have NEVER said we wouldn't take care of you, nor have we ever ignored your concerns.  You specifically asked us to wait until the current contractor is done working in your backyard.

Please let us know when you want to meet with the local inspectors.

      Thank you,

      ****** *****

We hired CMR to do a deck and outdoor patio with a fireplace. They put a fireplace insert that says for use indoors only in our outdoor patio. They did not follow ** code guidelines for installation of the electric and now refuse to have an inspection done when that is required to be done by ** county and state guidelines. They started to fix some things but CMR now says they won’t finish the job unless we agree to new terms even though we already have a contract in place and have paid for 2/3 of the job according to our present contract. I have text messages with the owner of the company that proves they have scammed all their previous clients by putting this indoor only fireplace insert in their outdoor patios and have also put previous clients and their families at risk by having people install electric that are not licensed professionals and putting an indoor fireplace outdoors that can lead to a potential fire and safety hazard. Their own employees have admitted to us that they need more training with electric. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. They keep saying that they will finish the job if we agree to their new terms but we signed a contract already and are not going to sign a new agreement. They are trying to get out of the terms that are in the contract but still want the same amount of money. They also want us to agree not to speak about their company because they admitted in texts they have done this to all their clients. So at this point the job is not complete and they are refusing to complete it. We are not signing a new agreement when we already have a contract in place, unless they want to renegotiate the price since they are not complying with the terms of the contract and we will have to hire a licensed professional to fix things and get it up to code. We want to warn people this company has scammed past clients and will scam future clients also. They will try to force you to renegotiate the terms or not complete the job.

CMR installed a patio in November of 2021. It has a covered roof and the roof is separating from the joist due to improper installation. I have called 3 times and left a message with my name, phone number and reason for the call. No one from CMR has contacted me about this. This construction project is under warranty and they are not fulfilling their obligation. They screws that they used are the improper ones that are needed.
