      I would not recommend or work with this company again.Every employee I spoke to was kind (****, ******, **************), the actual technician (Kam) was friendly. However, they failed the initial inspection and had to redo weather proofing. I've since hired another electrician to finish labeling the panel GLIC installed. The panel doesn't fit all of the breakers and covers them slightly. New electrician said without a new box there is no way to make them fit, so it will always look odd. We found out more that indicated poor work, but this review is long enough.The communication between employees at GLIC is extremely poor and caused a variety of issues with scheduling, parts, etc.I sent a list of the work requested by email, explained it over the phone, and went over it in person with ****. Ultimately approved:1. $675 Dual sensor, photo-ion smoke detectors for each level of the home 2. $3,150 200-amp service upgrade 3. $462.50 *********************************** total from 11/15 to 1/24 we communicated through 22 phone calls, 44 text messages, and 9 emails for this single job. Here are some examples of why we had to communicate so frequently:- We wanted to confirm that they were going to pull permits and send electricians who are licensed in MI.- We needed a new invoice sent over and waited 2 weeks but it hadn't been sent.- On what would have been day 1 of work, GLIC cancelled on us 2 minutes before start time.- Day 1 of work ended due to an emergency call. Told they'd possibly come back the next day, or Monday of the next week. I called and texted without any response until Monday morning when they scheduled us for later that week.- They brought the wrong smoke detectors to the house on day 2 of work.I can assure you that this review can't fully encapsulate the fuming frustration of experiencing it all. The sad part is that GLIC has all of the opportunity to get it together and be better, but I happened to be on the receiving end of their sloppy practices.

      I hired GLIC to replace all of the wiring in my house as my house was an older house and a house in my neighbor had recently had an electrical fire. They came out gave me an estimate and scheduled out when they would have two electricians come out. They were prompt with their scheduling showing up on time everyday and even got the work done faster then they originally estimated. That winded up saving me a few extra hundred dollars. I have since recommended GLIC to anyone asking me about an electrician n and thought I would leave a review on here. Thanks again GLIC!

      I am submitting this review after reading the complaint of the customer who used GLIC’s services on 5/27/22, and because of possible similarities in our experiences. Last November I bought a new chandelier to replace my current one. The new and old chandeliers both weigh(ed) less than 20 lbs. Weight was not an issue. My major concern was that the chandelier was mounted on a 17 ft high ceiling. Through a program of Toledo Edison, I was put in touch with GLIC Electrical. I explained the job and emphasized the 17 ft ceiling. The electrician quoted me a price of $140 per hour, plus $100 for a house call. I expected less than 2 hours and a bill of $380. Two electricians arrived at the appointed time. However, they only had a 12 ft ladder and would need a 14 ft ladder. Apparently, such a ladder is not standard on their truck, nor does GLIC own a 14 ft ladder. They had to leave to go and rent a 14 ft ladder. After the work was done, I was presented with a bill for $680 (not itemized). I told them I had no intention of paying that amount. I talked with a supervisor, and settled on a lesser amount, which I paid by check. However, I had the feeling that I had been taken. I advised GLIC Electrical that I planned to place a claim in small claims court. After 30 days with no response, I submitted the claim to small claims court. On the day set for the hearing, GLIC presented me with a check, for the amount I had claimed plus the court costs. I appeared in court only to dismiss the case. In the course of preparing for my court appearance, I learned of Ohio Administrative Code Rule 109:4-3-05, Repairs or Services. It says that a supplier must offer a customer a written estimate of the cost, including a form for the customer to sign.
