On 2/15 I telephoned ****** regarding a water leak in the roof of my home around the chimney. Two people arrived and accessed the problem. They advised the valley needs fixed, but couldn't fix it that day since he was going out of town. He said he could do a temporary fix (as indicated on the statement) by applying caulking to the valley which would last 6 months to a year and could come back the next week to repair. We stated that was fine and authorized the repair since the weather forecast called for rain the next day. The entire visit took approximately 45 minutes. We were asked to pay $170 which if the roof did leak would be applied to the actual repair the next week. It did rain on 2/16 and the roof still leaked. I called and had to leave a voice message that the roof was still leaking and inquired when the valley could be fixed the next week. I never heard from ****** the whole weekend. I called again on 2/20 but no one answered. I again left a message that the roof was still leaking, please return my call and schedule the repair of the roof. I never heard anything from ****** that week and both me and my wife left multiple messages to please return our calls. I started leaving messages again the week of 2/27. My roof was still leaking and I needed it fixed. I contacted another vendor who replaced the valley on 2/28. I called ****** again on 2/28 to advise them I had to hire a different company to fix the roof, but they still didn't answer. I left a message to return my call. I still have not received a call from ******. When they were advised the patch did not hold for even 24 hours, and the roof was still leaking, I never heard from them again. I then had to hire a different vendor to solve the problem. I would like to receive $100 back from the vendor. The $70 would cover their trip and the caulking they provided for the patch even though the original payment should have been applied to the repair cost.
