I arranged for limousine service for my wedding day June 22, 2024. This date was during a summer period of higher temperatures for 7 days preceding and on the day of the wedding. The vehicle that was provided for us did not have the air conditioning operational. At all. Not for pickup of my Bride-to-be to deliver dressed, made-up and ready for the ceremony to the wedding location. The best the driver could do was open the front windows to let in 95 degree air, no help at all. Repeat the above for the trip to the reception location with all of the wedding party. (During the ceremony the driver went off to find a shady spot to park in her attempt to survive.) Following up with BVIP, they pointed to this failure as an Act Of God freeing them from any responsibility as they identify in their contract and therefore refused any responsibility or remuneration. I feel that BVIP was lax in releasing a vehicle for use without verifying full functionality, especially air conditioning KNOWING that the weather was hot for the week before and expected to be the same that day. I feel that BVIP was also lax and irresponsible in not attempting to replace the vehicle when it was identified that the AC was broken initially at first pickup. I additionally believe that an "Act of God" clause in this case is a ridiculous and unsupportable excuse for basic negligence - the temperature was no surprise to anyone in the entire state, except apparently BVIP. Further, in their support of calling it an Act of God, they helpfully pointed out to me that generally air conditioning often doesn't work when it's hot outside. That is the honest truth of what BVIP representative told me. Unbelievably they were also unwilling to make any adjustment to my bill in our back and forth discussions. My wife, myself and the wedding party obviously suffered unexpectedly, as well as later things that matter to ladies; appearance, makeup, comfort on this most special day.Customer response

It now appears that my dispute with BVIP was accepted by my credit card company and the charge has been reversed. I no longer need BBB to pursue an adjustment, but I do wish to retain the submission of my experience with BVIP as an incident reported, and useful information for other potential customers.
