I can't say enough about how incompetent Yeti was when performing work on my house and agree with E. M. (below). I have photos and documents to prove they charged 1000"s of dollar and everywhere they "worked" -the outside of my house is falling apart and water is now and has been seeping into the structure of our home. They replied in another review that the new ownership no longer does repair. What? Why in the world would that matter? and Really? What do you call restoration? Such a compassionate response.Yeti Restoration Response

Hello ***** - I'm sorry you didn't feel you could reach out to us directly and that the previous response you received was bothersome. Certainly not our intent. Please note in the response via ******* we were simply trying to communicate that we are terribly sorry you had such a frustrating experience with Yeti under the previous ownership. When we as the new ownership took over, we stopped providing rebuild services immediately. That was because the quality of work that was provided prior to us was not indicative of the way we want to conduct business going forward. As you know it is difficult to find quality craftsman and when we were unable to be confident in that particular service. We have the same name, but are not the same company. We inherited a lot of good things from the previous ownership, but what you experienced is certainly one of the bad circumstances that we wouldn't wish for anyone. For whatever happened under the previous ownership, again we are sorry.Review from Christy A

I unfortunately have very little good to say about Yeti Restoration. They have excellent sales tactics and ***** has a charming personality. But their work is no where close to what they claim. We were taken advantage of on multiple accounts. They do not stand by their work - they failed mold remediation post-testing TWICE. Each time requiring us to pay in order to check their crappy work (he will claim he "helped" us with this cost, but a *very* small fraction of the cost). The mold inspector couldn't believe how poor quality their containments were, its hard to even call them containments. In addition, in the contract Yeti was required to notify me of any price-changing problems. This did not happen on a number of items - they threw away our cabinet without telling us it was mold-covered, they disposed of our wood floor without telling us as well. Their website claims they are IICRC certified, when they are in fact, not. They told me our remediation would take 4 days, it took 6 WEEKS. Do NOT trust ***** or Yeti Restoration with your home, it is not worth the trouble.Yeti Restoration Response

Thank you for your feedback. Certainly we were sad to see it. We know that clear communication begets clear expectations. Based on your points, it sounds like we missed the mark there and I'm sorry for that. We are one of a handful of companies that don't test our work in-house because of the conflict of interest it poses. We want our customers to feel confident in the end results because theres nothing more important that the health of those we serve. Regarding the bathroom, if you recall, it was an unrelated insurance claim which your third-party tester pulled into their testing. This slowed the project dramatically (we were asked to completely hit pause when they found drywall dust on the towel rails in the unrelated bathroom, for example). The hardwood floor was part of your insurance claim, and was covered/ swollen in "category 3" toilet water sewage, and was planned for disposal from the outset, even in the contract. You showed us the remaining flooring you had available in the garage. On containment - you may recall that the containment collapsed in the kitchen when the tape failed under negative pressure, having been left for two weeks because of these delays while we waited for the testing company. It was built to last half that time - I'm sorry we didn't come back and catch that before testing, but glad that it didn't matter for the results, which were good. I'm also glad that the change of scope lowered the price for you, instead of raising it. Typically, we would only let you know of a change of scope that increases the price. Lastly, on the ***** certification, our staff, including myself each carry ***** certifications. We did not renew our company certification at the end of 2021 because it offered no value to our customers. We wish you all the best *********.Customer Response

Hi Yeti, thank you for your reply. However, much of the information you state is misleading at best, a flat out lie at worst. The fact that the bathroom was an insurance claim has no baring to your work in all the other five areas. Because you included it in the containment with the kitchen project meant that the testing company had to test both at the same time. The project was in no way slowed down by the inspection company - your improper workmanship is what caused delay, more than once, and in more areas than just that bathroom. Even if we left the half bathroom completely out of the conversation, the rest of this review/timeline holds true. Also, the reason containment failed was not waiting on inspection, the containments failed from the very beginning. In fact, they failed so badly the inspector couldn't even perform the proper testing the first time. You are referring to the THIRD inspection, where we had to wait an extra 5 days because of the inspectors schedule (ignoring the fact that until this point took FIVE weeks of waiting on Yeti Restoration to complete the work they promised.) The change of scope only lowered because you no longer performed the repairs, not because you did something better - in fact we had many many more expenses to deal with because of how you handled this job. Another frustrating piece of this experience was fighting to get any information of what was going on in our house. We had to leave because of the extent of work needing to be done. Yeti promised to keep us up to date throughout the process - after the first two days, I was never given any information unless I reached out asking questions. Day 1 - 7: Yeti does work and claims the house is ready for post-testing Day 8: ****************** deems the work incomplete and unable to even be tested because containments were not done sufficiently. Day ****: Waiting on Yeti to complete the work in order to re-inspect Day 24: The work doesn't pass post-testing or visual inspection. Day 25 -31: Waiting on Yeti to complete the work in order to re-inspect Day 32 -37: Waiting on inspection company to inspect. Day 38: House finally passes post-testing and visual inspection
