On 6/16/20 I hired C&A construction to assess an interior leak in the sunroom which is documented on a signed agreement . C&A construction came to my home and after further inspection of the sunroom they shared that I'd need a new roof to prevent any further leaks and/or damage. C&A came out in 2020 to replace the roof per their suggestion/ assessment. The repairs they completed are backed by a 15 year warranty which is documented and signed. I, in good faith agreed to have them come and complete the work to prevent the leak in the interior sunroom and prevent any other leaks/damages. Jan. 2022 I contacted C&A to share that the interior ceiling in the sunroom was leaking worse than it was before they replaced the roof. I experienced an electrical fire due to water leaks which ran into an electrical socket in the sunroom and caused even more damage. C&A agreed to come check the leak after I contacted them in Jan 2022, they shared they'd come after the snow and ice melted. C&A came Feb 16th 2022 and after they assessed the damage in the interior sunroom and said that he should have asked for more money to flash the roof (which should have been included in the repairs of the entire roof). The negligent repairs by C & A caused even more damage which means it's going to cost even more money to repair the electrical issue that was caused by the water leak and the roof still needs to be flashed to repair the leak in the interior sunroom.

C&A Construction replaced *** ******** roof per the insurance estimate provided by ***** **** in 2020. She then called in January 2022 to say that the roof was leaking again in the same area as before we replaced her roof. We responded to *** ******** immediately as we do all of our customers. We met she and her son in late February 2022 to assess the situation once the weather allowed us to go on the roof. We observed the same interior damage in the home that was present that was previously paid for by ***** ****. Nobody had fixed the interior damage from before we replaced the roof. Regardless, we told her that we replaced all of the step flashing around her chimney even though ***** **** did not pay for it. This was a professional courtesy that we did for her. We brought her son on the roof to look at the situation. He observed that the flashing was replaced and that the chimney had many repairs made to it. We showed *** ********' son that the water was entering through the cracks in the chimney and not the roof. Her son agreed and then indicated that he was going to call ***** **** and ask for the money to repair the chimney and possibly get money for the counterflashing around the chimney (also not paid for in the insurance estimate). He said he would call us when he heard back from ***** ****. We never heard back from him. In order to fix her leaking chimney *** ******** needs to pay to replace the counterflashing (which she had the option to do in 2020 when we replaced the roof, but she stated she could not afford to pay for it and ***** **** also would not) and hire a mason to work on all the cracks in her chimney. *** ********* roof maintains its full labor and shingle warranty and we will stand by that 100%.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

      Regards,

      ******* ********

I had ****** ** ***** roof come out to give a 2nd opinion because I didn’t trust you guys at all. They actually came out May 9th and 10th to Actually fix the flashing that was so-called done by you guys and I have pictures to show that that flashing was never replaced. My son has video of the explanation on top of the roof that you referred to stating what you done the chimney that has the so-called repairs is not what’s causing the leak to the interior housing. The flashing that wasn’t replace like it was supposed to which cars the leak in the first place which is why ***** **** decided to proceed with the claim, you guys just didn’t do. As I stated ***** *** ***** roofing has all the evidence to show all the old evidence that wasn’t done like it was supposed to be done
