Saturday Feb 10,2024, I took my 1 year old Bernadoodle to MedVet in Dayton. I was expecting compassionate care for my Pet. I received complete opposite care. I got there around 11pm, they sent him back to do vitals, etc. Asked me what he could have possibly ate. I had no clue but he was very lethargic, laying on the ground. Would not get up. This was not usual for him. Doodles are mostly high strung. I told them I would wait to see a doctor and they told me it could be 3-5 hours. He was obviously sick. I was not leaving until I received some kind of news. During my time there, he was sleeping for the most part. Around 2:30am they called us into a room. He started throwing up yellow bile. (several piles) They moved us across to another room and put what appeared to be puppy pads on his vomit. We get in there, a technician said you want to get xrays I said yes it has been over 24 hours and he has not stopped throwing up and will not eat or drink water. They take him back for Xrays. About an hour or so later, he comes back in. They tell me they do not have a radiologist on site and we could wait (the radiologist could read the xrays in 10 min or an hour) or discharge him and if they saw something that looked life threatening or needed attention they would call me. I gave it some time and went home around 4:45am. Woke up at 8am, called his primary care Vet and she was off for the day but asked me if they did blood work, I forwarded her the Xrays and she told me to make my way into the office and she would meet me there. She did blood test and looked at his xrays from MedVet and said his pancreas is enlarged and she could do exploratory surgery. I said yes do it! The size of the toy he swallowed was large! It was wrapped around his intestines and if she would not have done surgery that day he may have passed away over night. I am BEYOND irritated that for 4 days now I have called MedVet to speak to them and they have not returned my calls. I deserve a refund and apology.

I took my dog on July 10th for bloody stool. Was told $400.00 for blood work, agreed to this. 2.5 days later my dog was taken home after being told "I don't know what is wrong with him as the lab work looks ok, to the next day euthanasia to the next day he's doing great come get him. Now that is no surgery, only iv for dehydration and antibiotics. I left paying OVER $4,200.00!!! A human could go to emergent care for 5 times less than this, highway robbery, I don't know how they sleep at night.

MedVet Dayton - Internal Medicine, located in Moraine OH. Horrible experience overall. If I could give a rating lower than 1 star, I definitely would. I took my animal in for a diabetic consult after a referral from my vet. My pet was seen on 6/12 and I was told it would take 2-3 days for test results. I never heard from anyone at the facility until I called them. I didn't receive my test results until 6/26. It is now 7/7 and I still have NOT spoken with the vet. My animal was diagnosed with a terminal condition. The vet (Dr. Hopwood) did not even run the required diabetic bloodwork (which was needed). When I confronted the "Clinical Manager" Juanita about their poor communication and major delay in providing test results, she suggested I take my animal elsewhere since I wasn't happy with their service!!!!
