I purchased a Fairmont Home on April 1, 2022 and had it delivered to Plymouth Shore on the Bay in Marblehead. In June of 2022 I had a issue with my A/C not working and contacted *** in service to see what could be done. At the time he said he would order me a new unit but it may take a few months to get. I told him that our park manager who also sells Fairmont Homes, had a unit and would replace it for me and all *** needed to do was repay him for his service, but *** said not to worry and he would take care of this. I had to go out and purchased a mobile A/C unit from Best Buy just so we could have some relief during the summer heat. We never received a call or email back from them letting me know the status of the unit. In April 2023, my wife and I drove to the dealer to ask what was going on and that the new season was to start April 15th, I then got a call back telling me he has a new unit with my name on it waiting to be installed. He said it wont get hot for a while and he will get back to me once he has time to install the new unit. I called again on May 22nd and *** told me he would be out in the 10 days. I told him I was having family visit for Memorial Day and wanted this done before hand and he told me he would be there. As of this complaint I still do not have A/C working in my home and the July 4th weekend is fast approaching. I want the new A/C unit installed ASAP so I can enjoy my new home.Business response

I would say that the items in the complaint are correct, with the exception of my saying that I would be out in 10 days. I am not saying that I did not say that, just that I do not recall making that statement. This time of year, we are extremely busy. We Have had below average temperatures so far this season in this area and I have had to prioritize services depending on need. The work at Mr. ******'s has not been forgotten about. As with many businesses today, we too, are very short on help. We have tried to add repair staff for months. Most applicants do not even show up to the interview and several that did show are in no way qualified to perform the work that we need.
I have made arrangements with a sub-contractor to help me with A/C services. This often is a two-man job because of equipment weight and positioning. As of this afternoon (6/22) we are scheduled to do the work at Mr. ******'s on Monday, June 26. If the weather does not allow, the work will be moved to Tuesday. The A/C work will be completed prior to the long holiday weekend.
