Ordered a glass shower door thru David G******* of glass guru. Door was installed and has a bad hinge. Mr g******* came out and looked at it and left. I have not had a call or contact from him after repeated tries at speaking with him. This company is terrible at customer care. All I wanted is the 1700 door fixed!!Initial Complaint

Date of transaction 08/21/2023 They came to my home twice. The first time to measure my window and to give me an estimate. I was out of town when they installed a new window. When I came home at 1 o’clock in the morning from Colorado, my window valance was broken. The blind was half off ,the security unit for the security system was knocked onto the floor, and my furniture was in the middle of the kitchen. They had left the place in a mess. I had to pay $69.88 to have my security company come out and replace the unit they knocked on the floor. David, the owner refused to help me in anyway with the situation. I asked him several times to reimburse me for the expense, and he refused. I sent him pictures of the damage to my home left by the technician, and he refused to help with any of that. I have never worked with such an unprofessional company in my life none. He was not going to reimburse me the money for the repair of the security system, and the repair of the balance. I also had to have my handyman come out and repair the valance on the blind that his “technician “ broke. He told me I could send his technician out to reinstall the unit which was unacceptable as that is not his job. He installs windows, not security systems and mine was installed on ******** ******* a professional company. I have all of the bills,letters and pictures I sent him if you need those. I had used his business last year and they had done a good job. That’s the only reason I use them again this year.Initial Complaint

WORKED ON SHOWER REPLACEMENT WAS ON 10/27/2021--HAVE CALLED MANY TIMES TO CORRECT DOOR HINGES COMING UNSTABLE--HAVE REQUESTED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR POORLY INSTALLED WORK TO BE REPAIRED FOR FEAR THAT DOOR COULD COME OFF AND DO BODILY HARM. DAVE OR HIS TEAM HAVE SHOWN NO CONCERNS ABOUT OUR SAFETY. DAVE HAS STATED REPAIR PERSON IS OFF DO TO HIM BEING INJURE9 (I BELIEVE THIS IS TRUE AND ACCURATE) BUT HAS MADE NO EFFORT TO CORRECT POORLY INSTALLED DOOR AND SHOWS A TOTAL LACK OF CONCERN FOR OUR SAFETY.. ALL I WANT IS FOR DOOR TO BE SECURED. I WOULD SUSPECT THIS WOULD TAKE LESS THAN AN HOUR TO DO. BECAUSE OF MY AGE AND LACK OF EXPERIENCE, I WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR. I WOULD THINK FOR SOMEONE (DAVE) WHO HAS BEEN IN THE GLASS BUSINESS FOR OVER A DECADE WOULD KNOW SOMEONE WHO COULD HANDLE THIS EASY REPAIR. AFTER A DOZEN REQUEST I HAVE RECEIVED NO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM CREATED BY GLASS GURU OF NEWARK,OHIO. IM UNSURE WHAT TO DO AND DO NOT WANT TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION OR ATTACK THIS BUSINESS ON SOCAIL MEDIA. I JUST WANT A SECURE AND SAFE SHOWER DOOR, WHICH SEEMS TOTALLY REASONABLE TO ME.Business response

We have tried to find a new shower tech, even reaching out to a search firm with no luck. As such, we have not been providing shower repair services since May 2022.
Per customer's warranty, there was a 1 year workmanship warranty, which expired prior to him contacting us with the issue with his shower (January 2023).
We are left with no option other than to suggest he find another company to provide repair services as we have no one else on staff with shower glass installation experience.

I am rejecting this response because: the work was incorrectly installed initially and is obvious that it was gradually pulling away from wall…this would not be easily noticed until it reached its current status..
I’m requesting that the owner come to my home and inspect..
As he will recall , the original install had to be redone due to incorrect measurements, which created over a 3 week delay and inconvenience for our family.
This is a continuation of the same issue- not installed properly..
I would think the local owner of this franchise would want to fix the problem his installer created, and not receive negative feedback to the local community.
My request is reasonable considering all the challenges that I have had with this install;from the start to the present.
I will proceed with what ever is needed for this repair to take place and with a sincere desire that my experience is not replicated for others in my community.
The shower door needs to be secured for my safety.,This at best is an hour of work, so I cannot understand the owner refusing to help..
The door is gradually getting worse, so I’m requesting immediate repairs.
