We are leasing a printer through Comdoc/***** and have had ongoing issues from the start. The company has so much turnover we cannot seem to get to the bottom of things because I cannot speak to a consistent customer service rep. We've had periods where our printer doesn't work and have been continued to be billed without rectification. I hesitate to not pay the bills because I don't want to be sent to collections, but I've had billing errors without resolution since May of 2024. It's too complex for me to simply upload documents without context.Customer response

I have a lease with ComDoc and I went to order a cartridge and the website was down. I emailed them and they did not respond. I called my Rep and that number no longer works. I called about seven different 800 numbers and they go over seas and the connection is terrible and you cant hear them. I called the corporate office and that number has been disconnected. I finally found a number for the lease and talked to a lady that was really nice, took my complaint and was going to try and get someone to contact me, but she didnt act confident that anyone would contact me and they have not. I just want to cancel my lease because I have spent three days trying to order an ink cartridge and when I got the printer I had a rep so if I had any issues I could call them. I attempted to find my rep and they said they did not have current numbers or they gave me numbers that did not work. I feel i have tried everything to resolve this and would just like to get rid of it and find someone that does back there product.Initial Complaint

On April 26, 2022, ******* *********** *****, as the Lessee, timely communicated advance notice to the Lessor, ComDoc, of **** intent to terminate (effective July 29, 2022) a Document Management Agreement with ComDoc for the lease of a ***** ***** **** copier. The notice was sent to ComDoc by overnight delivery and included a request for delivery instructions from ComDoc for the return of the copier, as required under Sections 7 and 10 of the Agreement. ComDoc has failed and refused to furnish *** with the delivery instructions despite repeated requests from *** to do so, and thus has breached the Agreement. As a result of ComDoc’s unlawful delay in providing the delivery instructions, the copier continues to be housed at ***, taking up needed space at **** facility, and impeding **** ability to use the space to secure and install a replacement copier from another vendor. Furthermore, during the delay, ComDoc has been invoicing *** for rent far beyond the lease termination date, essentially treating *** as a “holdover tenant”, resulting in *** paying extra rental payments to ComDoc each month (as of now totaling 10 months) which *** should not have rightfully incurred.Customer response

-we rent office printer from ComDoc. -beginning in November &ending in December we made 12 service requests to repair printer. none were answered. -By the end of Dec we began making requests to end our contract with ComDoc -we were provided with P.O Box on how to end contract (we were told to mail written request, we mailed notarized written request to cancel contract). -we were told that no mail was ever received &that it would not suffice to end contract anyways. Instead, we now needed to send the cancellation request as certified mail. The office manage provided us with the same address that she had in the previous call. -We sent certified mail to PO Box provided to us by Office Manager. -We tracked cert. mail &upon its arrival, we sent request inquiring about our cancellation -We were responded to by business owner starting that we had no contract with them what-so-ever -we emailed contract to ComDoc which stated our contract was with them &they seized all communication with us -We requested 3rd party financier (** **** ****** ********* Services, Inc.) that manages the contract between ComDoc &******* ***** to contact comdoc &assist us with terminating contract. Initially they stated they could assist but today called us &told us they could not make contact with ComDoc &thus could do nothing to assist us. -the certified mail which was sent out was returned to sender. it should be noted, that only one out of three envelopes sent to the same address was returned & the returned letter was the certified mail required to cancel our contract. coincidence? doubtful! -We know that this company is acting in bad faith &has done everything it can to extend cancellation process so as to extract more $ from us Your software did not allow us to send attachments but we have a myriad of evidence available upon request.Initial Complaint

We leased a machine and the term is up on 4/24/22. The company has demanded a sum of money from us that we must pay in order to not be automatically renewed into another lease. We do not want to be automatically renewed into another 3 year lease and therefore paid the amount demanded in order to receive a "return authorization" from the company so that we can ship the machine back. HOWEVER, the amount of money does not add up to the two remaining lease payments (greatly in excess of) and we have requested - multiple times - an itemized statement of their demand. THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE IT. The name of our company is ******* ** ******** Attorney at Law.
