      RE: Mr. ****** *****, Complaint ID# ********

      Dear Ms. *********:

Ms. ******* ***** purchased a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country on May 4th, 2022 with 183,950 miles on the odometer.  We are assuming that Mr. ***** and Ms. ***** are related, so we are willing to address the complaint.

Ms. ***** was explained to in great detail that the vehicle was being purchased “As-Is” with no warranties implied or otherwise.  She understood and agreed in writing several places on the attached supporting documents.  As mentioned in the complaint, a previous vehicle was purchased as well and Mr. ***** was satisfied with that purchase, and remains so.

The ***** Family was also offered the opportunity to have the vehicle inspected by a professional of their choice prior to purchasing the vehicle.  Ms. ***** declined and agreed in writing that she would be responsible for any repairs that should arise after purchasing the vehicle.  These documents are attached.

The ***** were aware they was purchasing the vehicle “As-Is” with no warranty or representations of any kind.  That is the whole thrust of our business plan, inexpensive vehicles sold “As-Is”. As a business we could not have made our “As-Is” policy any clearer to the ***** Family.  Every vehicle on our lot is sold “As-Is” with no warranties of any kind.

While we have empathy that the vehicle they purchased had issues so soon after purchase, we are not offering Mr. ***** or Ms. ***** the option to exchange the vehicle.

If there are any further questions, please contact me at (***) ***-****.

      Sincerely,

      Aaron *****

I am rejecting this response because:

***** was told car was in good condition with no issues, you had to drive the car for a while before the transmission started slipping, will only go 40 miles

November 3rd I financed a 2009 Saturn vue with budget mart on alrington. He knew my situation single mother 2 boys and assured me this was a good car. Within 4 hours of having the car the check engine light came on. I called back crying , Alex said he would fix it for me. Sent me to a place where they fixed the cam shaft sensor, pulley, belt oil change. Now I have either a bad heating core or need a new radiator that I can not afford. I took in good faith I was getting a good car

      Dear *** ******:

*** ******** ********** purchased a 2009 Saturn Vue on November 4th, 2021 with 151,094 miles on the odometer.  She is correct, the vehicle had mechanical issue soon after purchase.  She was sent to Fred Martin Nissan to diagnose the issue, and we paid $384.70 on her behalf for the repair as a goodwill gesture despite her having signed in multiple places that she understood our “As-Is” policy.

*** ********** was explained to in great detail that the vehicle was being purchased “As-Is” with no warranties implied or otherwise.  She understood and agreed in writing several places on the attached supporting documents.

I am rejecting this response because:

They definitely weren’t saying this as they were trying to sell me my car. The problems that the car has now are big problems and very expensive. I was assured and took in good faith from the that this was a good reliable car. Yes I realize that it was used and there could

ne isussses but not right away and not at this magnitude. They did tell me about the mechanic after the fact when I was signing the papers. They took advantage of a helpless single mother of two. Shame on you
