This company, Brightview Addiction Treatment Center in Batavia, Ohio deserves absolutely no stars from me, but, I have to give them one star in order to post my review. I'm very disappointed and extremely upset after being turned away with absolutely no help after spending almost 5 hours of telling my whole life story. I currently get a legal prescription for ***************** 7.5. I've been thinking about trying to get off of these pain pills for at least the past year. I always take more than I should so I'm always running out. So to keep myself from being sick, I seek treatment off the street. I made a very conscious decision that I am ready to get off of them. Since Brightview was close to my home, they were my first choice. So this company, Brightview, decided it was best for me to get with my doctor and have him taper myself down to get off of the pain pills. I will never understand how this is suppose to keep me from being sick. I feel like I was totally disrespected and my rights were completely violated. I just don't understand why I wasn't treated for my addiction just like anyone else that walks through Brightview Center's doors. I'm a 59 year old woman who came seeking help with a terrible, out-of-control addiction, and was turned away completely with no help whatsoever. My only conclusion that I could come up with is that I'm not someone with illegal addictions such as cocaine, heroine etc. In other words, since my addiction is not in illegal drugs, then I'm not the right type of candidate for this company to help. I thought all addicts like anyone else are supposed to be treated equal. I thought I had rights as a human being. I guess I was wrong. Ultimately, A friend referred me to ******* **** which was a godsend. I called and spent about an hour on a video chat, my prescription for ******** was waiting to be picked up a few hours later. I highly recommend people not waste your valuable time with Brightview Addiction Treatmt CtrReview from Jennifer Leigh

I have been a patient here for the past 9 months and as of last month they told all of their patients that they no longer had the right to stay in the program and receive their medicine from an outside Pharmacy. They said and I quote that we had 30 days to decide whether or not we wanted to get on board with the program and start receiving our medication in house or find a new place to go. I have talked to several different Rehabilitation clinics around Lexington and they have all said the same thing that this is illegal and that no matter what type of medicine a clinic prescribes, the patient has the right to decide where they want to get their medicine from. I am taking further steps at the moment to see what can be done for not only me but others at the clinic. They only offer one type of the medicine that I received and they don't even offer the same one that I am prescribed. It blows me away how people think they can dictate a patient's care when we have rights that says otherwise.BrightView Addiction Treatment Center Response

If you were honestly trying to help people you wouldn't be giving ultimatums to your patients involving their care. All because you are now serving the area with methadone that requires on-site pharmacy and dosage other people have to suffer? This should be a punishable offense.Review from Tora S

I was going to Brightview when it 1st was life Springs. I've been there for 5yrs when Dr. *** was running it as Life Springs hands down was the greatest place to go for addiction . Once he left & it became brightview all the changes came never seen the same doctor or counselor. The doctors r always wanting to make changes to ur case plans just because thy don't like u counselors want to just talk about themselves when thy used & want to judge on who had it worse . Hands down the worse place to attend for addiction. I do wish every addict the best of luckBrightView Addiction Treatment Center Response

The therapists here do not care about you whatever. I've been sober and I've been going to brightview for over 2 years I have never had a consistent therapist. When you try to go to their groups that they say are mandatory nobody's ever in them or they don't have anybody to run them so I haven't been to a group session and about a year and a half.I now go once a month and every time it's a four to five hour wait.Last time I was there I waited 5 hours until they told me they didn't even schedule me for an appointment. The only thing these people do are check boxes they do not care about you or your sobriety. And it's sad, and it hurts, to want to get clean and be sober and have nobody that cares? The people that are supposed to help you could care less...I'm about to relapse because of this place?!?!!!! I asked for a different therapist they gave me a brand new one that forgot to even schedule me. I was just diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago they made me miss an appointment at ***** clinic cuz I had to wait to get my prescription took 5 hours before they realized I didn't even have an appointment, so I had to cancel with my oncologist.BrightView Addiction Treatment Center Response

My experience with the Erlanger office person in charge of preparing someone for an immino compromising situation is awful communication. Emails get answered if they need information. After not receiving the expected phone call, then sending 3 emails over a week or so, nothing returned. I really don’t even know when my appointments are. I guess they was just made, then I receive a message at that point. One appointment was at 12, after some time I called, which is a hassle also, to hear well they will call you by 5. Who should have to watch their phone that long with an appointment, again if you miss the call you deal with an answering service WHO’s given wrong information and appointments a couple times already. Councilor, the first one, great until you run out of things to talk about, no guidance, I heard it’s your recovery Tamara. So after describing an issue and sitting staring at each other I asked do you have any feedback on what I just said then I got the second it’s your recovery Tamara. True story!! At that point I realized it wasn’t just connecting but also professionalism in question. It’s an office full of women so behavior like I described makes it even worse. The Drs I’ve seen are great. Georgetown counseling has been great. Unfortunately my home office makes you need a back up plan which isn’t good. I think overall it could be a great place. The other 2 offices that I’ve interacted with has been what you would expect with a Dr’s soffice and counseling. I want to imply once more that the Dr.s I’ve seen have all been very professional, easy to communicate with and I’ve never felt like I was being judged in any way.BrightView Addiction Treatment Center Response
