I purchased a car late February early March and was told that it only needed brakes and tire pressure sensors within two weeks after buying the car. I had to put it in the shop because my friend went out so far I have put over $4000 into a car that’s only $3000 and I just got a repair bill today for $6000. And once I have reached out to the dealer and the finance company, there was nothing they could do and they started blowing me offBusiness response

This customer came in after being denied for credit at multiple dealerships. We submitted his information to a lender and there was only one vehicle on the lot that the lender would approve him for. I advised the customer that this vehicle was his only option, a 2007 Buick Lucerne with 164,000 miles. Customer was advised this was an older unit and may need repairs, to which the customer replied that he did not care, and just needed a car to drive. The customer was advised that the vehicle was sold as-is, and there was no warranty with the vehicle. Customer signed an as-is agreement and the buyers guide. The customer contacted us on 05-14-2024, over 2 months after the vehicle purchase. Customer stated that his father was changing a coolant hose, and noticed the transmission fluid cap was missing.. Customer stated that his father spilled coolant inside the transmission through the removed cap. Customer wanted dealership to pay for the damage they caused because the cap was missing. I checked CarFax and seen the vehicle was serviced on 04-05-2024. I advised customer to contact that repair shop regarding the missing cap. We are not a high pressure dealership, we do not pressure anyone into buying a car, and customer was advised vehicle was sold as-is due to age and rust. Based upon our 1 phone call, vehicle was damaged by the customer's family members by getting coolant inside the transmission I have not heard from this customer since the phone call on 05-14-2024, and today is 10-04-2024. We feel bad that the customer has had problems with the vehicle, but as stated above there was no warranty on the vehicle, and this was made very clear at the time of sale. A check of CarFax 10-04-2024 shows the vehicle has not been serviced since 04-05-2024.Initial Complaint

I just bought a **** **** *******r off this dealership, When u have a car/truck you just bought and less than 48 hr's the transmission goes out on you, stabilizer bar was broken, oil wasn't changed (even tho I was told it didn't need it) heat stopped working, frame is falling off the of cab of the ****, We have tired to contact the dealership and they don't want to help us or cancel the loan. We either want the **** fixed or the loan to be canceled by the dealer. The repair shop is telling me that there no way i could of done this much damage in the little bit of time I've had the ****, The **** has been sitting at the repair shop for almost a month now. We drove the **** maybe 250 miles and only drove it for that one day, other than that its been sitting waiting for a outcome to happen. We were un aware of any issues on the ****, dealership told us it was ready to go and nothing was the problem. I have attached invoice from the auto repair, texting conversation between me and the dealership, and the damage to the frame.Business response

The consumer bought a 2001 (22 year-old) **** from the business. The consumer had the **** inspected by a mechanic, who approved the sale. The consumer immediately hauled a trailer with it down to ********. (There are pictures posted on ********.) Once down in ********, the consumer went off-roading with the ****. When he contacted the business, he said that the stabilizer was broke, it was leaking gas and the transmission was filled with mud. The warranty for the **** does not cover wear and tear. The consumer then called ****** **********. After investigating the matter, the credit company sided with the business and did not approve the recourse buy-back.
