I filled on a online credit application for a motorcycle on state 8 website. I received a call from stat8 salesman **** who stated that the motorcycle I applied for was already sold and he tx'd me another bike that was more expensive and I would have to put down a $100 deposit to start the financing. That was on 4/3/24. On 4/15/24 I had to reach out to **** because state 8 hadn't reached to me in 12 days. When I confronted **** about not calling me he stated he thought the bank reached out to me, which is a lie. When I asked about my refund, he said it would take 3-4 business days. Complete break down on communication and the old bait n' switch. It is illegal to have something for sale online that is not available. To date the bait bike is still for sale. I've call twice since to confirm, two sales guys said the same c*** as **** did.

On April 28, 2023 I financed a 2012 Honda CRB. I specifically asked my sales rep was there anything wrong with the bike and he said no the technician cleared it to be sold. When I got my bike home and rode it down the street I could hear a very loud knocking noise from the engine. I called the service department and advised me to bring it in. On May 12,2023 I took my bike back to be serviced and it was found something was wrong with in the engine that had to be replaced. I was fine with that because I wanted a safe bike to ride and I was told bad I kept riding it the chain would’ve broke and basically caused my death. After them having my bike for two I called to speak to a manager to see what they were going to do to correct the issue of them having my bike for so long with no completion date? The response was “we can get you another bike, but we will have to get you refinanced (run your credit again) and your monthly note will go up. That wasn’t a good option for me so I declined. I reached out to the finance company to seek help because I was paying for a bike I didn’t have they couldn’t help me. Fast forward to month four and they STILL have my bike and NO RESOLUTION just an apology! There is never a manager available when I ask to speak to one and no one is trying to rectify the issue. I have had so many broken promises and the lack of communication is horrible, the only way to find out anything about my bike is when I call them they never call me. I’ve been making payments on a bike just for state 8 to have it and I feel robbed. They have received well over

The repair of this motorcycle was completed and the vehicle was returned to the owner.  A follow up call was placed on 8/1/23 @4:32pm and the owner stated the vehicle was operating as designed and had found no issues. At the time we spoke, she stated she was taking the bike out for another ride that evening. I have not received any comments or concerns since we last spoke. At this time I would conclude the issue has been resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:
My husband noticed this yesterday when I was about to take my bike out again. I did hear a rubbing noise when i was riding but i thought it was normal. When I received the call yes I told him everything was ok, but then we see this. The owner was supposed to call me to see what could be done because of them having my bike for 4 months. I have so far paid $1600 for a bike I didn’t have a chance to ride and a 45 day plate I never got a chance to use now I have to pay for a plate. Yes my bike is now fixed, but NOTHING has been done to this issue better for them having my bike for so long. I was sold a bike that wasn’t safe that was cleared to be sold. I appreciate it being fixed but saying everything is fine now is an understatement. I wish they would put themselves in my shoes and think about how they would want this situation handled.

We are pleased to buy back the motorcycle for the original purchase price, which is made up of any downpayments received, any monthly payments made and any balance due the financial institution. We regret we were unable to repair in a timeline to meet satisfaction and will honor this through Saturday August 12th. Simply return the motorcycle to the store in the same condition as last received along with bank payoff information. We can complete the purchase documents at that time. In order to expedite the purchase process, contact your original salesperson with your decision to sell back to us along with your loan number so we can contact the financial institution ahead of time.

      Sincerely,

      State 8 Motorcycles

I am rejecting this response because:
Now that my bike is fixed I am not willing to sale it back. When I asked for my money back I was denied. However, we could split the cost of the amount that I DID pay while my bike was in the shop. I upheld my payment obligations even without having the bike. I even reached out to the finance company for assistance and they stated there was nothing they could do. I initially paid $1,100 down on the bike plus $152 for the four months you had it there for a total of $1,708. Would you be willing to split that cost at $854? It can be paid directly to the finance company.
