  Work was completed in June 2023. The signed contract states Contractor will obtain the permit. Contractor failed to obtain a permit from ******* ********. On March 14, 2024, ******* ******** advised me that no permit had been requested/issued. On March 14, 2024, I advised ***** at Mid Ohio of this issue in a phone conversation. He told me he would reimburse me for the $350, and if the variance was not approved he would tear out a portion of the porch to make it legal. On April 8, 2024, I texted ***** to let him know I had filed the paperwork for the variance review. ******* ******** charges $350 to apply for a variance review. The porch was too large for my lot and the zoning commission had to make sure it was okay to leave it as it is. Once the variance was approved on May 14, I texted ***** three times. Once on May 15 to advise the porch was approved by zoning and can remain, and twice (May 21 and May 23) to ask when he would be sending the check to reimburse the $350. ***** has not replied to my texts asking about it. As of May 27, 2024, no reimbursement has been received.
