I just received a billing statement for $305 today 8/1/24 for services rendered 1/27/22 nearly 2 and half years ago. The statement highlighted 'due to covid billing delays' implying the reasoning for the extremely long lag which is unacceptable. I paid nearly $7,000 to that company already if I recall and this is a horrible practice to attempt to claw back even more money. This feels illegal but I'm not sure and still researching *****************************************************************************************  I do not acknowledge this debt and would like balance to be set to zero.

Dear To Whom it may concern at BBB and Mr. ******** *****,

I am writing in response to the complaint filed by ******** ***** regarding unexpected charges related to his recent medical procedures at our facility.

We understand that ******** ***** is concerned about additional bills that were not covered by his insurance. I would like to provide some clarification on this matter. Prior to each of the two procedures performed, ******** ***** was presented with a detailed estimate of the anticipated fees. These estimates were based on the information available at that time and reflected our best assessment of the costs involved.

However, it is important to note that the final charges can sometimes differ from the initial estimates due to various factors, including changes in the scope of the procedures, the need for additional services, or updates in the patient's insurance coverage. We strive to communicate any such changes as clearly and promptly as possible to avoid any surprises. We apologize for any inconvenience to Mr. ***** brought about by COVID 19 and its resulting affects on our patients.

In this instance, we regret any confusion or inconvenience that Mr. ***** may have experienced. We are committed to providing transparent billing practices and addressing any concerns our patients may have. To resolve this matter, we are enclosing the treatment estimates signed by ********'s procedures and will be happy to contact with him and discuss any discrepancies and possible options to evaluate his payment due.

We appreciate ******** bringing this issue to our attention and value the opportunity to address it. If ******** has any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our billing department directly at ###-###-#### opt *

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Sincerely,

      **. ****** **** / ********* ****

My son ****** *. was scheduled to have his wisdom teeth removed on 04/16/24 by Dr. ****. I was in communication with Dr. ****'s office 5 to 6 times between 02/2024 and 03/2024 to obtain his treatment plan and my out-of-pocket costs.

After several failed attempts to speak w/ someone in billing the receptionist provided a verbal breakdown and advised I would need to pay $897. When I questioned the amount, she advised that I would be refunded the difference once the insurance paid and that it just takes a while for them to pay.

On 04/8/24 I received an invoice via text message advising me to pay an additional $897 that I was unaware of. I then requested to cancel the appointment on 4/10 which was prior to the 48-hour cancelation policy. I was advised then that I was not eligible for a refund because of a 2019 balance. I was advised that the pre-authorization from ***** was rejected in Sept 2019. I never received a physical bill, call or an email regarding this.

The dispute window for ***** would have closed 9/2020 and my address was entered as * vs ***. They are unsure why their in-house billing never reached out to me, which is unfair and the reason for my dispute. If my address was incorrect on their end, they certainly have had my email address and telephone number this entire time.

Because of their negligence they are now withholding funds for a service that was never rendered. I was also not advised of this outstanding balance until I requested a refund. This should have been mentioned when I first made contact in 9/2020 to see if Jayden needed to be seen by Dr. **** before committing to play basketball that year.
