On Friday February 25th, 2022 I went to Zettlers on the Westside of Columbus to get a new car key made. The gentleman cut the key and then took me outside to try it in the car to make sure it was cut correctly. The gentleman tried it in the door and then moved to the ignition to program it. Once programmed the gentleman went to shut the car off and pull the key out of the ignition when he realized that the key WOULDN’T come out of the ignition. He tried for a few minutes and then had me try in which we had no luck. He then got his manager ****** to come and try to help us. After about 30 minutes of trying to get the key out we had no luck. The manager offered 20% off which the key was still $111.99 before taxes but I still had the problem of the key still stuck in the ignition. ****** told me I would probably have to take it to a mechanic to get the key out. Long story short I ended up having to make an appointment with the dealership to figure out what the issue was. The dealership was able to get the key out but I had to pay $145 to do so only to find out that all along that there was a high point in the key and the key was cut wrong by Zettlers. The dealership was able to put this in writing and they were able to fix the key and send me on my way. On Saturday March 5th, 2022 I took the paperwork to Zettlers and spoke with ****** the manager who helped that Friday where he was taken back by the information and the paperwork I provided. He then stated it was beyond him and he would have to contact his boss to figure out what he wanted to do. After a few hours ****** called to inform me that his boss was going to contact the dealership to verify it was because the key was cut wrong and his boss would eventually be in contact with me to possibly gather some information from. Here we are a few days later and no update. I’ve had to put out extra money for something that wasn’t my fault. I would like to figure a resolution to this problem instead of being in the dark.Business response

Since problem happened on Saturday afternoon we didn’t have time to respond until Monday.
On Monday we call customer and offered what she ask for. She accepted and picked up the money.
We are sorry this happened although if she had waited a day she wouldn’t have had to file a complaint.
