There is no active leak under the sink. We have checked this several times and have video and pictures. The sewage issue was due to items that should not have been flushed down the toilet (baby wipes and paper towels) according to the company that came out to correct the issue. When the incident happened, we scheduled to have an emergency plumbing company come and address the issue. We also contacted a flooring company to come out and extract all the material and remove the carpeting. We offered to replace all the flooring in her entire unit. We offered to rent a large **Haul to store all of her household belongings so that new Vinyl flooring could be laid throughout her living room, kitchen and all bathrooms, and to have new carpeting laid on the stairs and upstairs bedrooms. She declined that offer because she said she did not have help to move her items into the **Haul truck. The process for the new flooring would have taken about 8 hours to complete. She told us that she was going to move. We offered to put her into a whole different updated unit and allowed her to view the unit. She agreed. There is paperwork that she needs to complete so that we can move her. She has not come in to complete the paperwork. I also credited her a full month's rental fee for her inconvenience.
We have tried to resolve all of the issues she has, but she has also not completed what she needs to do so that we can get her moved to a new unit.

***********************I have recently sent you documents of my condition and I also made that you know that I had talked with the landlord and I don't know she didn't know I had talked to one of her persons that does the rental and I had told her that I wanted them to do downstairs but not the whole apartment because the only area that was affected and the sewer damage was downstairs. They never did that. They tried to get me in another unit. I put in an application. I haven't heard anything and over a week if I qualified to transition over into a two-bedroom and they get me in a different unit, I put in my application.
I haven't had no response. I still haven't had any response on if they was going to fix the condition, because my living situation has been upside down for three months. Now that the situation has cracked in my floor, there's a crack, and there's odor that's just coming up out of my unit from where they pulled up the drywall. I smell more sewer downstairs. It's unlivable, and they're not doing anything. They just recently got a maintenance man, but this situation's been going on since May This has been going on since the beginning of May
We're going into August and I don't have no living area to entertain to have company over I have drywall that's been pulled. I have odor I have cracks in the cement that's underneath where the carpet was now and it's getting worse I had another leak where my dish water had leaked out.
They came and fixed that, but it was water everywhere again in my kitchen. I just don't think right now the landlord cares or I don't know if they don't have the money or what they do to fix the situation, but this situation is still very unlivable. I have pictures.
I'm to the point that I can't get you guys or anyone. I'm going to go to the news channel and they can come see the conditions because I'm sending you pictures of what the living condition is, and it's not getting any better. If you could, please give me a call at ************. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Good morning-
Ms. ******* most recent complaint is not accurate. I have tried on multiple occasions to get the carpet in her unit replaced. I have given her a full month of rent free, I have lowered her rental rate from the 3-bedroom rate to the 2-bedroom rate. Ms. ******* refuses to sign a new lease with us, she has currently not paid her October rent, water fee or late fee. I sent an email to Ms. ******* requesting that she give me a time and date that would be most convenient for her to have her carpet replaced, when she responded she still did not give me a time. As for the leak itself, it did not affect any other unit. I called a professional company to come out and take care of it. They indicated in their report that the reason the backup occurred was because they pulled paper towels and baby wipes out of her drain that had been flushed and caused the back up. Ms. ******* has lived in this unit for over 20 years, and she does not share a pipe with either unit next to her, so the only way they would have pulled those out is if they were flushed by her or someone in her household.
We did attempt to put her in another unit. We had to do paperwork to make this happen since we are a LIHTC property. Ms. ******* started the process and then refused to complete the documents that were requested to approve her file. I will be scheduling the carpet replacement for her living room only since that is what she requested, and she will be given proper notice when the company will be coming. I also will be giving her a 24-hour notice to complete her 2x2 patch of drywall.
I hope this clears up any misinformation that has been provided. I have been more than willing to work with Ms. ******** however nothing that we have done has seemed to satisfy her. She did indicate that she plans on moving, but has not indicated to us when and she has not supplied us with a 60 day notice to vacate.
Best Regards,
***** ******

This has not been resolved because as of today's date, you still have not told us about a convenient time for the carpet to be replaced. We will be moving forward to get the carpet fixed and you will receive proper notice. We will also be giving you proper notice to complete the drywall repair. If you have any other additional questions, you may contact the office during normal business hours.
