First, she was late to the location by 5 minutes and she charges by the minute if late for the client. Second, A deposit of $150 is required, regarding timing, and tables and chairs. I was told to put tables and chairs in exact location. There were no specified or listed instructions. They were put in the area that I had gotten them from. The chairs were not placed how she wanted them ( there were no specifications to how she wanted them, just to be back on racks) in the area, she said that they were required to keep the full amount of $150. I asked for a partial return of deposit for misunderstanding because, they were still on the racks just not in the correct order. I felt like this could be amenable and further avoid any more misunderstanding. I was told nothing could be done. Below, is the contract that did not specify, email chain, images 1 and 2 of how our tables and chairs were after the event, and image 3 is her later disclosure of how she wanted the tables to chairs to be. When I arrived to the location there were tables and chairs on both sides, top and bottom, of the racks. I hope things can get resolved and that we can both walk away from this feeling like no one has gotten the upper hand on the other.

      Greetings,
The client was given a code to enter the venue so they didn't have to wait for the assistant to arrive. The client was in the venue within four minutes. As stated in the contract there is a 10-minute grace period before any charges are applied. Moreover, the client expressed appreciation for making sure they were in without delay. However, that has not and is not the issue at hand or what the clients complaints have been about.
There is a $150 deposit required which is to secure the date/time of the clients event, cover any incidentals, and to ensure the contract is upheld by the client. The deposit is refundable with 72 hours of the event conclusion given all requirements are met and the contract is upheld. The client placed the $150 deposit and signed the contract agreeing to uphold the requirements for renting the venue.
As the client has stated above them self they were told to put the tables and chairs in their exact location. Not only that the client also stated they asked for a partial refund because the chairs were incorrect but still on the rack. The assistant that arrived expressed to the client to take a picture and make sure they are put back the same exact way for the deposit return. The tables and chairs are positioned the same exact way for every event in their original stored positioning. The client received the venue in that same exact manner. There were no chairs on the bottom of the rack nor were there any tables on multiple walls. I have attached a picture to display the way the tables and chairs were upon the clients arrival.
The contact that the client signed and has attached states verbatim “Client agrees to leave the event space and equipment tidy and clean, and in the same condition as received. Company recommends client to take a before picture of the tables and chairs prior to the event setup to ensure they are stored back properly. Client must return tables and chairs back to their exact and proper original location. If Company has to render ANY repositioning or cleaning of tables, chairs, floors and/or waste removal services after Client vacates Client will forfeit the full $150 security deposit for a cleaning fee for procedures not being fulfilled.” The client elected to not uphold that part of the contact leading to the forfeiture of their full $150 deposit. I have attached pictures of how the client left the tables and chairs for referencing.

Contracts are put in place to hold the client responsible for venue rental, policies, and regulations. The deposit was placed as collateral to ensure the contract is upheld. Unfortunately, this client didn’t uphold the contact they agreed to and it caused them their full $150 deposit. It’s unfortunate that this situation came to this especially given there were no prior issues with the client up until this point.

      Respectfully,
      Che, Owner
      Che Creative Collaborations
