Constituent had her 2004 ford focus at Wilsons for repairs in 2019. She issued $1000.00 cash payment for repairs. She was told she could make remaining payments towards repairs as she can. She was in
communication with Wilsons up until they sold it in December 2021. She still owed on financing for the vehicle and also had a lien on the title.*Please see attached document

**** ******* paid a $1,000 down payment towards her repairs in 2019. We talked to her several times after that in regards to the balance with no payments being made. We talked to her lastly in August 2021 where she informed us that she knows she needs to start making payments. No other payment have been made. No communication from her was received until April 2022. The vehicle was filed as abandoned in Nov 2021 and a title was issued to us by the state. The vehicle has since been sold. We believe we went above and beyond with giving ** ******* plenty of time to pay for and pick up her vehicle.Customer response

Hi ******* I am sending you the copy from the Ohio Bureau Of Motor Vehicles and I could not find my reseat for when i gave them my down payment for 1,000 00 but I do remember the date and it was sept 2020 they said that my payment for repairs was on 2019 that was not correct. they said that they last talked to me August 2021 about making another payment I talked with them when I Made my payment in sept 2020 and I Told them that I would be making a payment soon and the mechanic told me that it would be ok to not worry about it. they said that they did not communicate with me anymore until April 2022 I would like to know how the state can take my name off the title of the car in 2019 that was the year that I took them the car to do the repair word on and my name was taken off in 2019 how can they still except a 1,000.00 payment from me in 2020 if my name had already been removed form the title in 2019. my name was on the title when they had it removed if they had wanted to send me a letter all they had to do was send it to the address on the title before they had my name taken off. please let me know if I need to send you anything else (when they said that they did not communicate with me anymore until April 2022 that was when i went to them with my final payment for my car and that,s when i found out that they had sold my car they did not call to let me know anything I COMMUNICATED WITH THEM that also was a incorrect statement please call me if you need anything else. we also have to keep in mind that covid had a lot to do with the time frame they were not open for about a year so i could not communicate with them at that time

I Feel that Wilsons Auto Motive did not handle the situation with my car in a professional way because he should have called me when he decided to sell my car they claim that they had no way to get a hold of me if that,s true then how could he have gotten hold of me by phone to let me know that he had got a motor to put in my car if he had no way of contacting me. he also called me to let me know that i needed to come in and make a payment on the motor which i did i payed him $1000.00 dollars and he took my payment. on 9-12-2020. why did he not call me to let me know that if i didn,t come in that he would sell my car. i would have went there and got my car. he told me when i asked him why that he did not know why he didn,t call me and just brushed me off he told me that he did not have time to hunt me down. but he would not have had to because he had my phone number. and my mailing address was on the title before they had it removed in 2019. why would they take my name off the title and then still take money from me. after i made payment on the motor covid19 came and everything was closed i had no way of getting a hold of them. because everyone was trying to stay home and stay safe from covid my husband bought me that car for my wedding present from him it was special to me and i never wanted to get rid of the car because it came from him he now is deceased. i dont understand why they acted like they could not get a hold of me they had my phone number the whole time. i feel that they wanted to sell my car to get a profit for themselves and that is not fare to me as a customer it also took them about 6 months or more to get a motor for the car i just feel like they didnt handle the situation properly and the results caused me to loose my car.that they sold.
