I contacted Truitt roofing for a quote, ***** **** did the quote for Truitt Roofing, he told us that he did all the siding jobs for Truitt Roofing. We were told that the job would include house wrap, insulation, vinyl siding ,soffit , facia gutter with leaf guard and down spouts and wrapping windows, doors, porch post's and trim. During installation we were told the post on the front porch would be difficult because they were tapered, one of the installation crew said that he could do them, but they never were done. We were told that if if we put ant holes on the siding or wrap that it would void our warranty. When the spouting and down spouts were installed some of the down spouts had to be relocated which left hole in the siding? I called Truitt Roofing on 12/27/23and spoke with a gentleman in the office and asked about the porch post's and got the same thing that they would be difficult to wrap and most people just paint them. Why would I want to paint when I just spent $36,000 cash to make the house maintenance free. I also asked if we could receive a written receipt. As of today 1/26/24 I have never heard anything from Truitt Roofing or received a receipt. And the front porch post are still not wrapped and the hole from moving the down spout is still in the siding.Business response

The owner of Truitt Roofing has called *** ****** directly. He and ** ****** discussed his complaints and arrangements were made to go out and take care of the issues he was unhappy with. The receipt was already sent, the workman are finishing today as I write this response and since ** ****** paid in full, he already has a warranty. We expect to hear from him soon.Customer response

On 7/29 2020 we signed a contract with Truitt Roofing. I was placed on the schedule 12/8/2020. The project was started and stopped multiple times. The siding on the east and west side of the house had an oil canning effect, and the caulking around the doors and windows was applied very sloppy. The west side of the home was done during a hail/ice storm. The shutters on the east side of the house covered up the caulking mess. I took the owner through my garage and house. I showed him where what looked like plug holes and dry wall screws popped through the exterior/interior walls of home and garage. I was told, “That’s normal.” I just had the interior walls painted as well. I had to repair my north/and west sides of garage walls costing $1000.00 for repair for parallel seam cracks to exterior garage walls. I was also ask to purchase the caulking to make sure the color matched and would be reimbursed and was not. Later I find out they should have used clear caulking . I spoke with an employee 6/27/22 and he was unable to repair because product did not match. Product was available 5/4/23. Employee came out and attempted repairs. I was ask by employee to look over everything and let him know of any issues. No attempt to repair caulking and siding is falling off two places on the east and west sides of house. I spoke with the owner of Truitt Roofing 8/31/23. He reassured me he would send employee, “ASAP.” Today is 9/18/23. I am requesting repairs to be completed correctly and promptly, and reimbursed for my repair cost. Garage $940.00 and Caulking $85.37 If Truitt Roofing does not have the staff to repair then I am requesting Truitt Roofing find another contractor to repair the issues and Truitt Roofing be responsible for repair cost. The day this complaint was filed I had contacted the customer to tell her that the supplier had finally gotten the siding in and we would be there soon to complete the work we contracted for. We kept her informed about the delays on the siding and she had even called the supplier to verify. #3 on the back of the contract states that the project will be done promptly except when beyond the Seller's control.I cannot control the supplier or when they receive materials. I was never told about drywall screw pops and would never say that was normal. I did offer to reimburse for the caulk but was never given an amount. I have already scheduled my repairman to be there this Friday 9/29 or Saturday 9/30 weather permitting. Truitt will not pay for garage repair, but will reimburse for caulk as agreed. Customers were kept informed, we cannot control supplier deliveries and we have scheduled the repair to be finished soon.Customer response
