I purchased a set of Stainless Power by Stainless Works Long Tube Headers for my 2019 Dodge Charger Daytona 392. The purchase was made on one of their distributor’s websites, KNSpeedfactory.com on 10/19/2021. The part number is ***********. Upon having them professionally installed, there was a very loud and noticeable rattling coming from beneath my car. After bribing it to my local dealership for inspection, it was determined that the passenger side header was hitting the strut tower of the engine bay and causing the rattling sound. The sound eventually got worse and even led to other parts of the exhaust system (mid pipes and X pipe) to start shaking, vibrating, and even cause an exhaust leak. I called Stainless Works and spoke with their customer service representative ******* ****** about the matter. She agreed to have the set sent back for inspection. Initially she told me the only option I would be given is repair or replacement, but since they wouldn’t cover the labor for removal and reinstall, I told her that was not a reasonable resolution. I told her that if I remove the long tube headers, that I would have no interest in reinstalling them as I didn’t want nor could afford to pay for the labor over and over again. She spoke with the higher ups in the company and they approved a refund pending they can find an issue with them. I provided several photos clearly demonstrating the fitment issue, so I didn’t see why they needed to check them in their ‘fixture’. It was extremely clear the fitment was off as there was no clearance between the header and strut tower. Additionally you could several marks on the header itself from where it had been hitting while rattling. I just received an email stating there is no fitment issue with their fixture and that they are not issuing a refund, but just sending them back. I don’t want them, I simply want my refund seeing as they do not fit properly and I have photos clearly proving that.
