My daughter enrolled last April of 2024 and completed the class time. Since then I’ve had no luck getting an open drive time scheduled. I called and they said I have to keep checking the website. I’ve been checking, I’ve never seen an opening. We all work, so we need to schedule this out appropriately but they are unwilling to let me schedule anything. They don’t even have a many drive times available (all are full) I want them to accommodate us or refund my money. We are getting close to the cut off by no fault of ours.Initial Complaint

I enrolled my daughter into a driver’s ed program and paid $450 for 24 hours of coursework and 8 hours of driving. She began her driver’s education experience with her coursework on 4/15 and completed it on 4/25. She then was to begin her 8 hours of driving. It is now over 2 months later and she has not been able to schedule all 8 hours of driving. It is ridiculous that in a 2 month time span she cannot complete a simple 8 hours of driving. This has been such a challenge that her permit actually expired and I had to PAY for her to get another one in order to complete her driving hours! I do NOT think this is fair at all. They release optional driving days on a calendar during business hours of the work day and within 3 mins they are filled up already. This is not a respectable way to run a business and is extremely unfair considering the price I paid to put her through their course.Business response

Drivers Education for Teens in the state of Ohio consists of 24 hrs classroom and 8 hrs behind-the-wheel. Both the student and the company are given 6 months to complete the program. The timer starts when the student attends class, in this case, April 15th, and 6 months would expire 14 Oct 2024. Student was issued a temporary driving permit 7/5/2024 and by State of Ohio law student must keep temp permit for 6 months before they can road test and obtain regular license.
The student finished class instruction and passed test June 5th, and also by State of Ohio law cannot start behind the wheel lessons until class is completed. The fact that the student has 4 completed or confirmed in-cars (as we call them) by Aug 1st is a good thing even though student cannot road test until Jan 2025. June 22nd in-car was cancelled by instructor due the death of his mother, and in-car was re-scheduled for this student.
The parent cannot have both the service and refund merely because they feel it wasn't done in a timely manner. We are withing the time frames established by the State of Ohio for the service we perform.
See attached student record of account and class/in-car schedule.
