I paid $275 to adopt a dog on Aug 29th. The foster was inconsistent with pickup availability and I was unable to pick up the dog. They held the dog for two weeks as I was moving and this was agreed upon. Never once did they say in writing or verbally that holding the dog was an exception to a policy, not listed anywhere. They refused to return my deposit despite me not adopting the dog “since they held him for me for two weeks and that was an exception.”

******* paid $275.00 and asked us to hold the dog for her for 2 weeks.  We did which we do not normally do.  She was to pick the dog up on a Saturday but informed the foster of the dog, Rainier, that her daughter was ill and could not make that Saturday.  They tried to make Sunday the next day work but neither of their schedules would allow for pick up. She got upset and told the foster she no longer wanted the dog because of the "unfeasible" times she was given to pick him up. She then wrote me an email in which she was unreasonable with her demands and then asked for a refund.  I told her I would put it before the board because we basically boarded him for two weeks, took him off the "adoptable dogs" list on Petfinder so therefore he sat and was not able to be in a home in lieu of a kennel.  We immediately refunded her money (after she decided to use her Doctor title (she's a physical therapist) - I think she thought she was intimidating me.  I have attached a screenshot of her refund the VERY SAME DAY via Venmo.  I don't understand why she's stating she was not refunded her money.  If she didn't go to Venmo to check that's on her - That's how she originally paid for him.  If any further information is needed please let me know - you can also email me at **************************  Thank you!
