My original message was too long so I will summarize as best as I can. I had both front cv axles replaced on 10/17/2024. Afterwards, my abs sensor (front passenger side) was damaged (the light was on). I spoke with ***** before I left and was told if I drive it should go away. I drove over 300 miles but the lights remained on the dash. I spoke with **** and made an appointment for that Monday. When the appointment came, no accountability and blamed me for the sensor damage. From the day I arrived for the repair until now I video and voice record my interactions with them and took pictures. I received a voicemail from **** on 10/29/2024. I called back the next day. I thought he called b/c of the complaint that was filed on Monday of that week but he spoke as if he called b/c the following week he told me he would be there on Thursday but he wasn't. It didn't make sense b/c why didn't he call on Friday, Saturday or Monday. I told him I went to the dealership and was told the part was stretched and that is why it was damaged (when they took the part off I asked to keep it and told them I will be having a mechanic look at it). He kept interrupting me. He said he viewed the cameras and that the mechanic didn't damage anything. I think I asked how would he know since he was under my car. He said he showed me the part and there was no damage and it wasn't stretched. I told him it was and was about to say that I was video recording that day so there's proof but he interrupted me to say that I stretched it out and he hung up on me (I voice recorded that call as well). I contacted Midas complaint line again and was told I received a call from them which told me that is why he called and not b/c of what he said. I'm doing my best to have the issue resolved but I'm not hearing from their boss. I was told I will receive a call from the owner in 24 to 48 hours so I'll see if they actually call this time. If there is no resolution this week, I will have to take it to court.Review from Jenny S

We brought our ****** Corolla 2005 to Midas ****************** on 8/16 for the oil leak issue as We noticed a few drops of oil on our driveway on 8/14. Mechanic looked at it and told us the problem were from front transmission line leaking, valves cover gasket leaking and oil pan gasket leaking, We paid total $987.46 . when we got home we still saw the oil dripping after driving about 4 miles to our house. We called them , they apologized and told us it might be because they overfilled the oil. We dropped our car to their shop for a 2nd time on 8/19 and this time we have to leave it overnight.Picked up our car on 8/20, they told us the part they replaced was faulty, and a new one was replaced. We drove our car home and found the oil dripping again after we parked. We dropped our car for the third time on 8/22, and waited at their shop for 6 hours, mechanics told us that the part that they previous replaced was a detective one. They replaced the new one and told us we should not have an issue for years. We drove the car home and found the oil dripping again the next day after driving for a Short distance about 4 miles . We called for the refund on 8/26 as the issue was not solved or even worst as we saw more heavy drops of oil on the cardboard we put underneath the car , they told us they could not do the refund but wanted to look at the car again and see what they can do. We went there again for the 4th time on 8/27, this time they tried to cut short , the mechanic even said that he is done with our car as he claimed that the previous leak was fixed. The leaking now is from something else which they found out after 10 mins looking but could not find out the last 3 visits. I dont feel like to trust what he said anymore. We would like to get the refund for the full amount as the third time the mechanic claimed that we should not have any issue with the leak for years and we were not told any extra leak issue that relevant or we should concern.Review from Vanessa A

I took my vehicle to Midas at **************************************************, they kept my car for 3 weeks without ever looking at it. I called several times and was told they were getting ready to look at it and would call me back, (this never happened). I then had my car towed to another auto place where they told me due to the fact that there were open containers in my car they could not work on it. Upon retrieving my car, I noticed cigarettes butts and beer cans all in my car, mind you I do not drink or smoke. I went to Midas to ask how could this happen and the tell me it could have happened during one of their breakins. I do not believe anyone would break in a company and just sit in someone's car and start drinking and smoking. I believe they left my vehicle outside unlocked overnight. The district manager *** gives me a call and tells me to take it to another location where they would clean/detail my car due to the fact that someone had smoked in it, when I get to the other location, they tell me they do not clean/detail cars at that location. I tried contacting the district manager back, with no response. This Midas is horrible, with rude employees and not a concern about people's property that people trusted them with. I also had items stolen out of vehicle, where they said they coudn't do anything about that but to make a police report. I would like to see their police about all the break-ins they claim to have had during the 3 weeks they kept my car. I will never give them business ever again and to anyone that reads this never leave your car overnight with them. They are a sorry excuse for a business.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

First, we're very sorry ************************ vehicle was broken into. That is something that has been happening more and more in that area. We also made it clear that we would reimburse her to have the vehicle cleaned and detailed but she has cut off communication with ***, our district manager.Yet we can't be responsible for valuables left in a customer's vehicle but we will certainly assist her with any input she needs for a police report. The issue with her vehicle was a bad alternator that she had installed elsewhere and after we informed her of this her vehicle sat for some time before she had it removed. We did not ask her to take it to another Midas for cleaning/detail but to confirm the diagnosis per her request. Again, *** made it clear to her that we are happy to reimburse her for having her vehicle cleaned but she is now not returning ***'s calls, yet that offer still stands but we will need cooperation from her in order to accomplish this.Review from ANDREA L

Exceptional service! I cannot say enough about the lengths they went to in fixing my 2020 ****** Celica. When I needed a new muffler and my regular mechanic wouldn't touch my car, saying that the frame was so shot it was dangerous to work on, I took it to the Solon Midas shop. They replaced the rear sub-frame as well as the many pieces and parts that were needed to make my car safe - and as it is a 24 year old car, they went to whatever lengths it took to find and get all the many parts as they needed them to finish the job. I am very grateful to ************************* and his crew, and the Manager, who all saw this big job through - and they gave me back my wonderful car, safe again for me to drive for many more years! I am overjoyed that they could fix it. If I could, I'd give them 10 stars - they deserve it! I totally recommend them for not just muffler and exhaust system work, but for whatever mechanical repairs a car needs - they are a very competent, thoroguh, and consciencios group. I thank my lucky stars I went to them!Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

I had used Midas for the last 15 years for my oil changes, and I will never go to them again. My son Who has certain challenges had went to Midas to get an oil change. During that time he was there they stated he needed 2 new tires and a control arm. They told him it would be roughly $2700, he said he did not have that money and they said they could finance him. He told them that he wanted to call his mother and talk to her about it first because he knows that he is unable to make those kinds of decisions. the owner/manager told him that he did not need to call his mother that he could walk him through the entire process and would explain everything to him. The manager/owner then took my son to my sons bank as my sons car was still on the rack. He took him to his bank to get his routing and bank account information to apply for loans for him to get his car fixed. I know that there were several different places he applied for because I kept getting letters in the mail saying he was denied and each time that happens it lowers the credit score. He did finally get approved for one loan and the interest rate was *****% so after the cost of the $2700 repairs and over $3000 in interest my son was looking at a grand total of almost $6000. He was looking at 26 payments of $227 every two weeks. I looked up the prices of his tires at ******* and the control arm the tires wouldve ran between $75 and $100 a piece in the control was a little over $30. He does have a car that takes synthetic oil so his oil changes are normally around $60-$70 so he was looking at a total of $300-$350 in parts he wouldve been paying $6000 for the parts and labor Through Midas. Thank God the finance company did offer a 90 day same as cash so that we were able to pay it off in three months at the $2700 that was financed instead of having to pay all that interest. These people are complete and absolute crooks that take advantage of people with special needs. Dont waste your time in going there.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

We're very sorry *** ****** feels this way and our intent is simply to assist and help people maintain and repair their vehicles and that's all our team did here. We contacted her immediately upon receiving her initial complaint so we could discuss her concerns and to explain our actions. As far as her son, *** ****** felt we should have been able to identify that her son has some degree of autism, but our technicians have no training to do so and we typically consider adult males driving vehicles on their own as also capable of making their own decisions. *** ****** never gave any indication that he was not competent. Reviewing our security footage also gave no indication that *** ****** had any issues or concerns either. Regarding he pricing discrepancies *** ****** refers to, they are simply inaccurate and deserve no further response, other than to offer our price match guarantee. If she would like to discuss that, she may contact the Midas location or our district manager who contacted her previously.Review from Mary V

Very incompetent. They used a torch on my aluminum rims to get lug nuts lose, and destroyed them by burning holes in them. Was told by service manager ***************** that the rims would be replaced. Weeks go by then I am told by service manager that I gave permission to torch the lug nuts and they are not replacing them. Then the manager tried to tell me my rims were plastic and that's why there were holes burnt in both of my front rims. I may be a woman but I know my dodge ram has aluminum rims not plastic, and not to let them torch the lug nuts. The service manager thinks because I am a woman that I am stupid and know nothing about vehicles. They just don't want to pay the expensive price to replace my rims. Well maybe if they had technicians that knew what they were doing they wouldn't lose money replacing parts they destroyed.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

We understand ******************** frustration but this was not a situation we caused. To be clear, we informed the customer, prior to using the torch, that there was no other way to remove the wheels and that it was inevitable that there would be damage to the rims. The lug nuts were spinning on the vehicle and would not come off. Again we called her and told her this. We told her that we would have to burn the lug nuts off and it would damage the rims because we were putting a torch in a 2-inch hole. We got the lug nuts and the wheel off but there is cosmetic damage on the rim from the torch which we informed her would happen. If the vehicle had not come to us in that condition, that would be a different story but we did not cause the condition that necessitated using a torch to remove lug nuts.Review from Glen B

I took my truck to Midas Auto Service 5440 ******* ********** **** ***** because the passenger side floor broad was wet I was told by Midas that it was the heater coil and the price was ***** to fix this. When I was told my truck was ready for pickup and the work was completed. Three days later I noticed the floor broad was wet again. I called Midas to inform them of this and they told me to bring it back in. They kept my truck for another week telling me they don't know why the floor broad was still getting wet. I feel like it wasn't the heater coil as they stated but rain water getting in my truck some how. I paid them to solve a problem but the problem is still there after paying ***** dollars to get it fixed.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

We appreciate Mr. ***** loyalty as a customer and are happy to take another look if he would like to return to a Midas. When he did return after we initially completed the work we sprayed water onto the car for quite a while but no water got through the seals. It's possible it was never fully dry but again, we welcome Mr. ***** to return so we can address it for him.Review from Anita H

I purchased tires through Tirebuyer.com I picked the Midas location at ************************************** as the installation location listed on their website with an appt. set up for 3/29/24 @ 9am. I got an email late night early morning that my tires were delivered 3/28/24 but my appt. was for the next day. Since I had a donut tire on my car I stopped buy to see if they could squeeze me in early 3/28/24. The gentleman was so rude in person, I decided I would just stick to my original appt. because he said "well we don't open until 8 so if they were left outside there not there now" implying if they were left outside someone stole them. I stated well I hope they would not be left outside. I called back the same day around 4pm to see if they were delivered so I could make my 9am appt the next morning and ************ told me they were never delivered. I called Tirebuyer and I was told the installer (Midas) sent them back. I called Midas back again and told him what ********* told me and he proceeded to tell me that the delivery guy did show up and he went in the store to verify the right tires were being delivered and the driver just drove off. I asked him well why didn't you say that the first time I called. His response "Well at the end of the day they are not here". He was so rude and unprofessional so I said I want to speak to a manager and I already knew what the response would be in this situation and of course he said he was the manager. I hung up I had someone else call with other questions to get his name and it was ***** who I am seeing listed on other unpleasant reviews. Midas needs to do something about this "Manager" this behavior and unprofessionalism in a customer facing role is unacceptable. At the end of the day if you do not want to install third party tires delivered to your store then take your name of the list as a installer. Not to mention he hung up on me twice during my interactions and I had to call back a third time. I will never visit this store or a again.Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

We're very sorry for the miscommunication our shop and Tirebuyer.com had with Ms. ******. Our manager does the best he can to be pleasant and customer service-oriented and if he fell short we apologize to Ms. ******* Ms. ****** previously filed a complaint regarding this experience so we are familiar with the circumstances. it seems between the delivery driver and tirebuyer.com we were thrown under the bus which led to the unfortunate experience for Ms. ******* To clarify, our shop manager, ***** did not refuse delivery, he simply told the driver he needed to verify the order as he did not recognize it. When he went into the office to check the computer for the information and wait on a customer the delivery driver left. The driver communicated to tirebuyer.com that we refused the delivery (which makes no sense under any circumstances) and in turn, communicated that to Ms. ******* Upon review of the recorded calls with ***** and Ms. ******, calls were dropped twice (no hang-ups) and certainly our team can always improve and Ms. ******** frustration is certainly understandable but one may say she ended the call in a less than respectful manner.Review from Kimberly S

This business is a SCAM!!! They charged my son for balancing his tires and tried to tell him there was so much wrong with the car. We took it for a second opinion, and the tires had NOT been balanced and the $1400 worth of repairs they quoted him were not even needed. BEWARE!!!! I would NOT recommend this business to anyone! I'd give 0 stars if possible!!Midas Auto Service & Tire Experts - an Employee Owned Company Response

Went to Midas on ********* in ********** ** to check out why my 2011 *********** keeps overheating. They said they could fix it. Probably a thermostat or Water Pump issue. Midas changed the Water Pump and thermostat and said the car was fixed. Before I got home the car overheated. I called Midas and they said to bring the car back. They replaced some more parts and charged additional money. They called me and said the car was fixed. They also said not to pay attention to the smoke coming off the engine since they spilled coolant on the engine and it would smoke for awhile. I took the car on the expressway. The car started to smoke and I didn't pay attention since the mechanic said it would smoke till the coolant disappeared from the engine. The car began to smoke so much I felt like I was in a cloud. Pulled over, opened the hood and all the coolant was gone. The hose connecting the coolant to the engine had a huge cut in it where all the coolant ran out. I believe the hose was also replaced during all the repairs. I called my husband and he came and attached the hose and added water so we could get the car home. Called Midas again and they said they were sorry and to bring the car back and they would fix it. I had the car towed to Midas to ensure the car would not overheat and cause a head gasket issue. Now they tell me I need a new radiator and they wouldn't charge me because of the inconvenience. I said OK if this would fix the overheating. Yesterday I get a call from Midas and they said the head gasket was blown and it would cost about $3000 to fix. Funny thing is we had the head gasket checked prior to towing back to Midas just to make sure the head gasket wasn't blown because if it was blown it wouldn't be feasible to tow it back to Midas. I was also told all this isn't their fault since the engine was not original to the car. Googled issue and found out it could be a Relay Switch or sensor which wasn't checked. OMG
