      Ive had the worst experience at the hotel. I booked 3 seperate king beds/rooms 2 weeks prior and was given rates that i was prepared to pay and agreed to pay, Upon my check in i was charged way over the amount that was suppose to pay at the time of booking. I was supposed $282 per room for my weekend stay Friday August 25, 2023 thru sunday August 27, 2023. I was charged total of $1037.68 on friday 1 charge at 5:30pm $353.36 for room 420 another charge at 5:34pm $342.16 for room 325. A 3rd charge at 5:36pm for $342.16 for room 220. I explained to the staff at that time that them prices was incorrect. Staff explained he couldnt change and i would have to speak to the manager (Alex)that was off dutie at the time. I showed him my reservations and the price that i was supposed to pay. I called the manager left a voicemail for her (Alex) she didnt call me back. Saturday 08/26/2023 @11am i went to front desk Alex (manager) was in she look up my reservations and she apologized for the inconvience seen the probolem told me she corrected it and the rest of the over payment would fall off when i checked out on 08/27/2023 at 11am. Today is August 30 2023 the charges is still pending hasn't fell off or put back in my account. I called to speak with Alex @10:58am today 8/30/23 about these same issues. Today at 10.59am 6 different attempts to pull out $121.52 from my card without my consent nor did I authorize these additonal charges to be charged to me. Another unauthorize attempt of $181.00 at 12:05pm was trying to pull from my account. No answers from Alex she cant explain to me who and why is the hotel constantly trying to charge for more money that i dont owe? I just want my money that is owed to me. Im so disappointed in the hotel in Toledo, Ohio Please can someone help me get answer i want my money. This is sad.

      Thank you for your feedback Ms. ******** I certainly apologize for your confusion about our billing procedures. At check-in we do take authorization on your card to cover room and tax and an additional $20 per room. At check out we charge only the amount for room and tax and any additional charge applied to rooms and in your case there were none. There were four actual charges applied to your card; Room #1: 283.25, Room #2: 286.54, and Room #3 161.08. Room number 3 was charged a lesser amount because your card had already been blocked and would not allow us to charge the remaining $121.52 for that 3rd room. We will continue to attempt to charge the final amount of $121.52 due until the amount is collected. Any additional authorization left on your card would be released by your bank of issue. It would be best for you to check with them on an estimated release of funds date. We are always happy to send a copy of the invoices to the banking institution if that helps you. One final note of recommendation would be to avoid using a debit card at any hotel as authorizations are obtained at check in and will hold funds from your account until authorizations are released. I am aware that my Assistant Manager did explain all of this to you on the phone, hopefully, this explanation added to the phone conversation can assist in your understanding.
