I usually take my mower for a spring tune up to a Toro dealer in Temperance. However, Janney's was offering free pick up and delivery and I thought I would save some money. I paid $50 on March 15 to be on the schedule. On 4/3 I paid a remainder of $127.75. I asked that the push button start also be repaired. It took them 3 tries/trips to do this. On July 10th, the mower just quit. Janney's is not open on Monday so I took it to my Toro dealer in Temperance. Before that I had a mechanic friend come over and look at it. He checked the air filter and stated that there was no way this was a fresh filter. My Temperance Toro dealer had to change the air filter and spark plug for a charge of $150.98. I went to the store will the bill on July 14th and spoke with *** Janney. He told me the other Toro dealer had cheated me. He asked me what I wanted. When I began to tell him.....he just walked off. I have filed a complaint with Toro. I think it is bad business for one Toro dealer to call another a cheat. I have also had the two charges disputed on my bank of america charge card.Business response

The business told BBB, as a good faith effort, they have refunded you $150.98, despite the fact that they serviced your mower and are entitled to get paid for that service. They consider this matter closed and will not be offering anything further.
