Less than 4 months, losing coolant, engine rattling violently, 1st issue was misfire, replaced all spark plugs, and now ***** ** ******** service tells me, I purchased a car with a blown head gasket. In Nov. 2022, I contacted ***, bought a used car from Jim White’s Lexus of Toledo online. *** test drove the car, told me that the car was perfect. Everyone should know sales guy, *** (25+ years is a lier). Do not trust a word this man tells you. They bought and sold a blown head gasket engine (2012 Lexus Ct200h) car they purchased from a customer for $8000 (trade in) and sold it to me for $13000 cash. (Nov. 2022). Now February 2023, I drove 7000+ miles on it and ***** ** ******** stated the issues was a blown head gasket. This was an ongoing issue, but ***** (sales manager) and *** (lier) says it’s my fault for not test driving the car and not signing a warranty. I drove 5 hours to purchase this vehicle trusting ***s expertise and drive back to Chicago, but ended up getting a lemon used car from Jim White’s Lexus of Toledo, practice is scam and ripoff. They charge $1300 for safety inspection, change oil and replace wipers - verified ready for sale.Business response

This car was purchased as-is. This guest was offered a test drive and declined. Guest was offered opportunity to take to independent mechanic and declined. Guest was offered extended service contract and declined. Vehicle inspection showed no indication of engine or head gasket issue at the time of inspection. Guest drove car for 4 months before any issue was detected. This vehicle was and remains AS IS.Customer response

I purchased a 2012 Lexus Ct200h from Jim Whites Lexus of Toledo in Nov. 2022, based on trusting what the dealer said, 1 owner car their customer, always serviced there, traded in for $8000 and sold the vehicle to me for $13000. They told me the car was 100% perfect, the salesmen test drove the vehicle and got it inspected for $1300 (includes oil change and wipers replaces for safety inspection ready for sale, his inspection reassured me that Lexus of Toledo can be trusted, but I was wrong.) Their testimony and inspection of the vehicle is totally not true. I drove the vehicle back to Chicagoland and after driving for 7000+ miles, I began losing coolant, misfire diagnosis, then took to local Lexus dealership, they said I purchased a vehicle with a blown head gasket. So, reached out to Lexus of Toledo to have this issue resolved for full repair cost of $3000. $265 for towing and replacing spark plugs. $199 for diagnostic check from Lexus. $2500 for replacing JDM engine. I just want them to take responsible for selling a lemon, blown head gasket engine, pay $3000 in full repair.

This car was driven for 4 months. FOUR MONTHS . And 7,000 PLUS miles. We don’t know what the consumer did to this can over that period. It was sold as is and remains as is.

I am rejecting this response because: Thank you for listening ********.
I paid $13000 cash for this used vehicle.
I requested that they test drive the car because I’m in *********** and ***** (salesmen) told me that the car was perfect (no issues with engine and trans).
During and After 4 months 7000+ miles, I have lost coolant by leaking into cylinder 2 and misfiring diagnostic.
I want Lexus of Toledo to pay $3000 in damages and repair cost. I have paid for the repairs and receipts $3000.
Towing and replacement of spark plugs $265.
***** ** ******** stated that blown head gasket was an existing issue before 2012 Lexus CT200h was sold to me with 128,500 miles, $200. Total replacement of engine from ****** **** ****,
