While checking my credit card statement, I found an unauthorized charge of $25.00 made by Anytime Fitness on September 12, 2024. After much difficulty with their automated system, I finally spoke with a representative. The representative informed me that I would need to talk with the club manager, *******, a person whom I have never met. I texted *******, who responded that I would need to contact ******* ********, Director of Operations for Anytime Fitness. Mr. ******** informed me that the fee was for "Club Enhancements." I request a refund, as I had not agreed to such a fee. Mr. ******** advised that it was part of the terms of my contract. However, my contract is over 14 years old, and no such terms match it. Then, Mr. ******** told me the terms had been modified, and I was notified via email. He told me that the company had sent a notice to dexterdd@aol.com. This email address has not been active for more than ten years. I informed Mr. ******** that I did not agree to such terms. The company has a legal, moral, and ethical obligation to notify the membership of any changes in terms so that there is a reasonable expectation that the member has seen the change in terms and agreed to continue the contract. As, Mr. ******** refuses to make a refund, I have blocked Anytime Fitness' access to my credit card and terminated my membership when the contract ends for the advanced fees paid.Initial Complaint

Paid for a membership and enjoyed the service. Now my membership is ending and I am simply trying to communicate with Anytime Fitness. I've utilized multiple and redundant forms of communication to get thru to Anytime and I have been completely ignored (their Facebook page, their listed phone number (called for over a week now several times, leaving voice and contact info), utilized their "contact us" on the Troy Anytime fitness page, texted a number that Troy Anytime fitness was using to text me, tried scheduling an appointment to see them online, but their scheduling assistant did not allow me to schedule/book an appointment, etc). I have spent so much time trying to get thru to them, and I have received ZERO response. If they renew my membership and charge my card, i told them i would report the charges as fraud in my email. It is completely unacceptable that i have put so much effort into the attempt to communicate to them, and I have received zero response.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a 6 week challenge to loose weight. I paid 350 dollars in the challenge as a wager. The wager being that in 6 weeks I loose 25 pounds. I get 500 dollars back. I beat the challenge. And lost 27 pounds. And now they have ignores me for over 1 month as I try to collect my money. I've talked to the owners. Their sister and all the managers of this place. And all keep lying to me with the same crap. I want my prize money. Or at very least my 350 back. I'm just tired of being lied to over and over again Also the **** **** location is where this has happened the same guys own both **** **** and ****. But I couldn't select **** city's on your list.
