This complaint concerns Joe K****, the owner of FMI general contracting. August of 2021 I hired Joe K**** / FMI Contracting to pour a concrete parking pad for our RV. Joe quoted a price and described exactly what He and his crew would do. Such as using high strength concrete , adding fiber to the concrete. Also Joe / FMI would even out the steep bank created by the pad. Joe told me He had access to plenty of good dirt and they would make a nice gentle slope and level up with the back yard, and spread grass seed. FMI Got the pad formed and poured and finished. They came back the next day to remove the forms and clean up. Joe promised they would be back next week to do the landscaping. The landscaping that was part of the original quote that Joe made. Again this was in mid August 2021. I gave Joe a check for the agreed on price. I have seen Joe once since I paid him, and that was him dropping off 3 loads of dirt sometime in late October or early November. And that was only after harassing him. Joe has given me nothing but excuses and false promises starting immediately after I paid him. It has been 9 months now. I just want him to finish the job I paid him for.

Yes, we did install a RV pad for Mr. *****. Next to his garage I was told there was enough gravel on site because he had MR excavation install a pad for his RV that he couldn't use and was unhappy with them. After installing the RV pad were Mr. ***** wanted it, the elevation became vary be steep to the neighbor's property. I informed Mr. ***** I have dirt from another job that I could bring out when it dries out, we were having a lot of rain it was the Fall season. We did get the dirt delivered, three loads for FREE! This was never part of the job! I told him I would come back when I could. Mr. ***** fails to tell you that we have had an extreme amount of rain again in the Spring. And that he was gone for over Four months in Texas. He arrived home and called me to find out when I could come and finish the dirt. We have some equipment issues with are new skid loader it has been in for maintenance six times since we purchased it last fall and is there now. I also was passing a kidney stone during Mr. *****s job. But most of all this was not part of the JOB! this was a free extra! And if Mr. ***** continues to write on my face book page how bad we are he will hear from my Attorney for slander!

Mr. K**** came to my house to see the job before he ever started and at that time quoted a price. So He knew exactly how much gravel was already there and exactly how much of a slope would have to be filled in.

Joe told me that he was working on an underground house and had a lot of dirt from that job that he would use to fill in and smooth out all the way from my shed in the backyard to the bottom of my driveway. And He would spread grass seed He knew very well what the job would entail and if he didn't then that's one more reason he shouldn't be in the concrete business. So he gave me nothing for free

Joe says the job was in the fall of the year. Not true The check cleared my bank August 17, 2021. I called or texted Joe at least once a week from August until late November. Joe made one excuse after the other like you can see in his reply. If you had a skid steer  you needed to earn a living and it had been in the shop six times in less than a year. Wouldn't you do something about that.

Mr. K**** quoted a price of $11,600 and that is what I paid him. He never presented a contract for the job. At first I thought okay this is the kind of guy that just needs a handshake and a mans word.  I have now realized He doesn't want anything in writing which can be used to force him to finish the job.

      Regards,

      ***** *****
