I contracted with Roofs by Warren to replace our roof shingles on my single family residence. The contract price was $10,200.00 plus $70.00 per sheet of 7/16 OSB sheeting where necessary. The contract was entered into on 1/7/22. The job was completed during the first week of April 2022. They requested a payment of $10,480.00 for the job. There was a deposit paid to them of $1,000.00 on 01/11/2022 and the balance of $9,480.00 was paid to them on 04/07/2022. They did not give me a paper invoice at the time they requested payment but showed the total amount on their cell phone. The invoice which I paid included a charge of $280.00 for four sheets of OSB. On May 25, 2022 they phoned me and requested an additional payment of $770.00 for 11 additional sheets of OSB. I told them I must have a paper invoice for the $770.00 and I would not pay from their cell phone. (This was 7 weeks after I was already given a final bill.) On May 27, 2022 they delivered an invoice for $840.00 where they added another sheet of the OSB. They definitely had told me two days before on the phone and in person that the additional due was $770.00. I was going to pay them the $770.00 when I received the paper copy. However since they changed and lied about the amount previously due two days ago I am filing this complaint.Business response

I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. Tyler is the newest team member and is still learning. Tyler was mistaken and thought only 4 sheets were replaced. Tyler brought pictures on his phone to show the crew replaced 16 sheets. You are correct, Tyler should have given you an invoice from the start. I can see he did not correctly invoice you. Looks like you already paid for 4 sheets of OSB. On the invoice, he did not credit you for that. I am happy to send out a corrected invoice. In the future to avoid other issues, please call me or the office. I would have been happy to review that. If you need anything else, please contact the office. If we are out on the job, you may reach the call center. If that happens, we will still reach out to you in a timely manner.

This complaint has been mutually settled and agreed upon to the satisfaction of both parties. No further action is needed by eitlher party involved.
