On Wednesday October 16, 2023 Grade A can and attempted to install a new bathtub and shower surround. Upon what the installer said was completion I noticed that there was a big gap between my tile and the bathtub that was filled with installation, bare openings in the wall with studs showing, the surround was not level, and a very poor job on drywall completion. He also stated he would come back to hang a shower rod I purchased. Upon turning the shower on I noticed a leak and Grade A was called back to fix it. He had to remove the front panel of my shower to fix it. The drywall he attempted to repair was even worse than before but the leak was fixed. I contacted Brad and he came to look at the job and stated someone would come back on November 17, 2023. No one showed up to fix the job and I’ve made multiple attempts to contact Grade A with no response. I would like a refund and compensation for lost wages for the 3 days of work I had to miss out on.

Business stated that consumer signed for job at completion, stating they were happy.  Attached is the invoice signed.  Customer was aware that job did not include finish work because tub provided was smaller than the one removed.  Please see attached invoice stating this was communicated and signed off by consumer.

According to the Tech and his helper consumer stated that her father was going to take care of the trim and mudd work.

I am rejecting this response because: tech said he would be out to finish. Tub was supposed to match the size removed. Also company was made aware about the issues with the finish. Brad from Grade A also came out to my residence and said the tech that completed the work was fired and he would have another tech come out and finish the job on November 17,2023. No one showed up to complete the job. I also received a call on December 18,2023 from Brad stating he was calling to figure out how to remedy the issue. I returned his call multiple times and received no answer.

Our response to complaint 20911613 is as follows, 1) The tub is the same size as the one removed. The iron tub was thicker material than the new fiberglass tub. The iron tub that was there previously is no longer manufactured and the homeowner was made aware of this as the tech explained this numerous times, even in the invoice that she signed off on. On the invoice it clearly states that Ms. ***** would need to contact a trim carpenter to redo trim work. It was also explained on numerous occasions that we are a plumbing company and that we would put a base mud coat on arround the tub surround and that she would have to have someone do the finish. She called and Brad tried, as a professional courtesy to resolve her issues. She was offered assistance again and declined and stated " she just wanted her money back." She declined further assistance. Customer servovce is our biggest priority.

I am rejecting this response because: I was told by Caine it would be finished and I would not have to call a trim company. Also, after the initial job Caine returned to fix a leak. When the wall was mudded he used the wrong mud and it never dried which is why Brian was called . He came out and said he would send someone else out the following week on a Friday November 17,2023 . No one showed up and I attempted to make contact with him multiple times . I finally got a call back and stated that due to them never showing up I did not trust the company to fix the job and requested my money back. I was also told by Brad that Grade A had a remodeling company that would fix it .

      Regards,
