I have been a customer with **** ********************** Ins. for over two years. I made an appt. to inquire why my auto ins had increased about $100 from the year before. While at the office, I discovered ********************** had made a major snafu, as described below:I had been leasing a car for my daughter, ****. About seven months (mos) ago the lease was up and **** decided to put the new car in her name. She called ********************** to inform them of the changes, new car and new owner. When the receptionist transferred the information to an agent to amend the policy, he did not think it significant the car was now in Jenns name. Apparently, not having my name on the car lease, means I have no financial interest in the car. And because my daughter is 39, she is not eligible to be on my ins.The agent amending the policy did not think to ask, new car; new owner? For 7 mos I paid over $100/mos for nothing. **** was told if there had been an accident, the ins company would not have been liable to cover the damages. On Feb 14 she signed up for coverage with Progressive.I texted **** ********************** on Feb 15 requesting **** and her car be removed from my policy. **** agreed to make the changes. March 1, my auto policy renews with my daughter and her car still on it. For about two weeks in February, **** and her car were double insured.I called State Auto with whom the policy is held and for 3 days jumped through hoops to get the policy corrected. because **** ********************** did not do what she said she would do. Not only has she caused me stress and anxiety, she has cost me financial hardships.I have text messages documenting my statements as well as voice messages she left on my phone. In my opinion, ********************** office policy should require customers wanting policy changes be transferred to an agent; or the receptionist should have adequate training &knowledge of the business to know what is important when transferring info to co-workers.I would not want anyone to go through what I did.
