I am writing to describe how i was overcharged for the services provided by Kleen Air Solutions. Most of the calculations for the charges are based on size of system. The tech who came, Robert, used numbers that are not accurate. I realized this after I had to have the cleaning redone since found dirt still there. I questioned the redo technician, Joe, on how many of each I have and then recalculated the cost. i have attached the invoice so you can see how the calculate costs. Vents. 17vs 22 Returns 7vs 10 Maintrunk 2vs5 Air handlers 1vs 1 mains- have only 2- paid for 5, overcharged 3x84.95=$254.85 access panels- robert cut 0, when redone, cut 1.charged for 4, overcharged 3x 24.95=$44.85 no vegetation around a/c stepped on so A/c not done - overcharged $149.95 Robert did not bring in any large equipment, as the 2nd tech did. he did not go to each register with a hose/brush to loosen dirt. i really believe he brought in cotton balls and dirt and put in 2 of my registers, then showed it to me and said i had mice and black mold. i sm 73 and was scammed by him on this since i do not know all involved and trusted the company since address in high profile neighborhood. I have a photo of all the dirt taken out by 2nd tech. robert told me he found black mold, my furnace personal later told me not possible in our propane system since gets too hot. i was charged for treatments. i investigated the products that they use and read that ducts must be pre-cleaned before fogging into ventilation system. Since it was not clean, the treatments are not effective and were not redone by 2nd tech. These treatments were $160 and $480, total of $640. i calculate the overcharge to be $1089.65. The second tech made the comment that he is tired of redoing roberts work and how he rips senior citizens off.Initial Complaint

Scheduled cleaning using reach coupon for $69.95. Was told tech would be there between 8-10 am. Showed up well past 11am, the guy smelled like straight alcohol and cigarettes. Got pissy when i didnt want to get an entire system cleaning, which was qouted for well over $1,000......a week after he was there, it was discovered that $150 in cash that i was just given as a birthday gift was missing from our bedroom (my fault for being trusting and leaving valuables out). Obviously, can't prove it but it was easily accessible to him and no one else has been in our bedroom besides myself and my husband. Called the company to report it, and the woman practically laughed at my story. She said the "owners" would be in contact with me about the situation....its been a month, never heard back. Reported to my local police dept As well. This company obviously doesn't care/ believe me. On top of that- the service is truly a joke, all of my vents still appear to be dusty/ dirty after he was done, and actually blew dust through our whole house making my family all cough / get sick. On 08/03/22 KleenAir was hired to clean my airvents and ducts with a coupon for a $50 clean that inlcuded unlimited vents 2 returns and 1 main. After cleaning the coupon turned into a $1338.51 charge. The company did not clean my vents and charged me for things not needed. All of my vents have a paint seal on them because they were painted over the paint seal was not broken indicating the vents were never removed to be cleaned. My vents remained with dog hair and treats months later. I do not have any pets nor have any been in my house since moving in. I contacted the company to have the vents recleaned and on the date of the reclean no one came to my house. I was charged for the cleaning of four "mains" as far as I can tell I have Two main trunks. I was also charged for 3 access panels there are only two. I was charged for mold treatment as the technician said I had evidence of black mold in ducts. I had another vent cleaning company come throught that informed me there was no evidence of any mold in my ducts. I was also informed by the technician that he cleaned out my dryer vent. That was never done I cleaned it myself and it was almost clogged with dog hair. I gave the company a chance to make it right and reclean my home as mentioned earlier and they have failed to do so. I do not trust this company and do not wish for them to return to my home. I am requesting a refund of my bill that totaled $1338.51 since services were not rendered.Initial Complaint

I had my vents cleaned 9/9/22. Spent $775.40. Was told I had black mold in my vents. So I paid for the spray. I turned on my heat and about 10 minutes later, my home is full of thick smoke. I thought something was on fire. I called my hvac company and a technician came out that day and said the spray he put in my vents dropped onto the coils and was burning. He also said there was no sign of black mold. I want a refund for what I paid for the black mold spray and to be reimbursed for the visit from my hvac company. I have called them three times to be told the GM will call me back and has not called me.Initial Complaint

Transaction date: 6/8/22 Amount paid: $490.30 Pricing is based on cleaning number of ducts based on mains, returns other factors. Technician told me I had 4 mains, and I agree. Technician stated he cleaned 4 mains and charged accordingly at $85 per main after the first 2 that were included in the advertised price. After the technician left I was in my basement and realized he only cleaned 3 of the 4 mains. It is evident as he cut holes in my duct work to clean them, and there are only 3 holes that were cut and patched. I called the company and explained the problem to their receptionist for 4 weeks only to be told they would look into it. It wasn’t until I stated I would report to the BBB that i finally got a call from their “manager” who has told me numerous times that he has refunded this, then not sure’ then sure he didn’t and would process the refund. Now they don’t return the calls. I never asked for anything other than a refund for the work I was charged for that wasn’t done. This is just ridiculous at this point for $85, I’m just simply tired of dishonest people running dishonest businesses and fleecing people who place trust in them to come into our homes and provide a service they advertise for. Pleas help hold this dishonest company accountable. It’s downright shamefulInitial Complaint

Purchased the UV system for air duct! They installed it incorrectly! They installed it so that the light is always on regardless If the air or heat is blowing! They are supposed to plug their system into an outlet if it’s going to be on all the time! That way it’s safe to turn off when the light burns out! Also, the UV light has been burnt out and they refuse to sell us another one! I’ve been calling since the beginning of 2022!!
