I attend the Westerville location and I would NOT suggest this school to anyone. This is my last term and I’m so ready to get out of this school . The last 4 weeks my clinical was canceled due to the instructor being ill. Myself and other students in my clinical group had to email staff multiple times in order to get some type of solution. No solution has been made and we’re told to “keep our finals week schedule open” , and they may be able to get us into a site to make up hours. This school is also very money hungry. They told me my monthly payment would increase because i am receiving financial aide, which makes no sense to me . I am definitely looking into opening a civil lawsuit against them . I believe they are trying to get me to pay them more money than I owe to them . The statement they showed me has proof I have credits available. DO NOT ENROLL HERE!Review from Diamond L

The Hondros college of nursing Westerville campus executive director is unprofessional and has poor communications. He does not not try to help the students but dismisses their concerns. He does not provide facts or clarification to students and if you request more understanding he comes off that you are arguing with him and does not provide any more type of assistance. He insults people of prior service and displays no respect towards them. The school says to report to him but he does not provide any support in trying to find a solution for the students. I would not recommend this school if he is still in a position of leadership. It is unfair to students when leadership is not giving the proper help to be able to enhance students success in the school. He provides false information to students instead of pointing them to the correct individual to obtain proper guidance. He does not understand that the students are adults and does not give them the proper respect but instead treats them as a child. He continuously downgrades individuals of color and tries to intimidate students.Review from Shawnelle D

I had the absolute worse experience at BOTH the Cleveland/Independence and Akron, Ohio campuses. I transferred from Cleveland/Independence to Akron and the Dean promised me a much better experience. Unfortunately, I found out sooner than later that the Akron campus was no different than the Cleveland/Independence campus. I started to have those same experiences, I expressed my concerns to the Dean. She listened and seemed concerned, however nothing was resolved. I just feel unsupported, undefeated and overall I wasted my money and my time.Review from Quanisha O

Money hungry!!! Indianapolis campus is by far the worst campus in history!! Before I begin if you want copies of the emails proving how they lied and manipulated me my personal email is nyahowens8 @ gmail. com. I have no problem sending them. First off **** ****** and ******* ***** encouraged me to take off because of my finances. I was paying 100% out of pocket and I had gotten significantly behind on payments. They wouldn't allow me to register stating I need to get caught up. So I took their advice and took time off. Throughout the entire time they told me as long as I come back in a year that I could pick up where I left off. But boi was that a lie. Every email I have from the time I took off until the time I was trying to re-enter in October they told me I could come back just pay the right price. So I sat down with them and came up with a couple of plans of how I could repay my balance and come back. Once I started making payments they sent me an email stating that we needed to talk about re-entry. By this time I had already talked to the Ohio campus and they had told me the truth. They had already told me that I would have to completely start over. I was so devastated! But I kept up hope and I held off on any more payments until I spoke to ***** ******. When I got to the office I was surrounded in a small office by Micheal Traas, Susan Fowler and the new dean of the school. They basically told me that they wanted me to start over the nursing classes because they felt I wouldn't succeed. They assumed that I hadn't practiced the nclex or read a single book or restudied notes since I've been out. They assumed that I would fell. And on top of that they talked to me as if I was the dumbest person on earth. ******* ***** literally told me that if I started over I couldn't fail a single class but if I started where I left off I could only have room to fail one. He said starting over was good for me. But how is that?!!! If you just told me I couldn't fail if I did!!!Review from Michelle M

I am a student at Hondros college of nursing in maumee Ohio and this by far is the worst school I have attended in my life. They make it impossible for a student to succeed, they show favoritism to certain students, they say they do not break rules but break rules if you’re a certain student, the teachers do not teach adequate you are basically teaching yourself, they say follow the syllabus and then when you get the exam nothing you’ve studied is on the exam. The dean of the college nursing (ADN) program will listen to your complaints but shows no interest in resolving the issue she just makes excuses for the poor school. It’s definitely a money pit and a total waste of time. I expressed my concerns and the dean informed me that college is a choice in other words I don’t have to go there. How rude when I have invested my time and thousands of dollars into this school. Worst school ever! I have to give 1 star just because it’s the BBB requirement but I would rate this school with “0” stars!Review from Natasha G

I attend the Dayton, Oh campus. So far my experience has been awful. The teachers are not understanding of anything including technical issues that are out of students control. One specific instructor acts as if she has a point to prove and nitpicks about everything. Said she would have to give me a 0 because IT was not calling me back to fix a technical problem. Luckily, I managed to fix it. They charge too much money. It's more like a military boot camp rather than a nursing school. Their favorite saying is, "No exceptions per the dean." I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. There are other programs out there with understanding teachers at a cheaper rate.Review from Kia B

Well I will just start here the Michigan Campus is a no go for me. I attended three months and literally learned nothing. I feel as if its a money grab and they set you up for failure with the courses that are given. It's to fast paced and I don't no one will be prepared at the end of the day to be a LPN in my eyes speaking from a person that has an extensive medical background. I would like to say don't waste your time and money. Just go and get your RN and take your time. But as far as Hondros College of Nursing they really have to do better! There is no way possible the Dean of students should be teaching like three classes and really not showing you how to really prepare for the field I'm just saying. 'DON'T DO IT"!!!Review from Kristina H

MICHIGAN CAMPUS! Too fast paced! Instead of making sure EVERYONE is passing they just keep adding new terms (classes) the grading scale for nursing classes A JOKE?? it’s self taught! The math teacher IS EXCELLENT! But we LEARN NEW MATERIAL EVERY CLASS!! Even going to tutoring throughout the week! It’s still a LOT! The nursing classes aren’t taught. More of a lecture and when you ask questions you get told to go to the syllabus! If u miss an Assignment for ANY REASON it’s a F!! I recommend it to my friend! And WONT AGAIN! I hope others experience is BetterReview from Natalie B

If only I could leave zero stars! They paint a wonderful picture but Nothing is as it seems you are set up to fail from the word GO and if you need help you better hope you are a favorite or someone who knows someone because if not you will be dismissed and belittled. They love to say we are important and they want to help and see us succeed when in all honesty they could care less! I can only hope someone sees the true colors of what really goes on sooner rather than later. I do not know how this place is still opened.Hondros College of Nursing Response
