I got a reference for Newhatch LLC from one of my friends. This is a tech company that hires interns, gives them training, and places them in the big tech companies. So I contacted them to get an internship. Also, I spoke to them about my H1-B sponsorship as well. Their representative, Harsh C, told me that H1B filing is very expensive and not guaranteed to be approved, so I have to pay lawyer fees for the processing which is $2500. I agreed and paid them by Zelle and sent all the documents they asked for. However, the company failed to give me a receipt of my H1b application or any other progress regarding my case. I asked so many times but he said the case is pending. But there is no update. There is no way that any case cannot get a receipt from USCIS in this 6 months time frame. So he is lying. He gave me a partial refund of $1500 and promised that he would return the remaining money shortly. But he never responded. By hoping my H1B progress, I didn't pay attention to my school and probably I having big trouble with my current F1 status as well due to this negligence. I have concerns about my money and identity theft.
