Timberlake & Associates a division of M&M Financial completed my 2022 tax return. I asked my tax preparer, ********* ********* via email for a detailed depreciation report showing accumulated depreciation and original cost basis. After numerous ignored emails, I contacted owner ******* ***** with numerous emails and voice messages and messages with a person answering the phone. And she is ghosting me too. Whenever they don't want to do something, they just ghost you until you give up. They ghosted me last tax season also after taking 9 months to process my return.Business response

The client has been provided with the depreciation form originally as part of her client copy, and a second copy was provided as well. Client is welcome to come in to pick up a third copy of the depreciation form as well as a printout of our data entry screen, which is what I believe she really wants instead of what she asked for. Our preparer spent 32 hours on this return which client trickled in 108 pages of source documents over months, then required a discount. My apologies but I believe staff was just exhausted and unable to figure out what client really wanted versus what she requested. The documents are available for pickup at client’s convenience.Customer response

I asked for a copy of work showing calculations showing accumulated depreciation over the years and the original cost basis. I was not given this and told that it was unavailable because my preparer was in the hospital. The answer given to you states that I dribble in tax documents and was given a discount. I provided documents as soon as ******* ***** issued them so my preparer could get an early start since she has difficulty getting them done lately. In the past, she always got them done on time. But not anymore. Something changed. But not on my end. They just give me copies of my tax return. This is not what I am asking for. I have my tax return. I want them to show their work on the depreciation and cost basis. They have to have this information or they wouldn't be able to prepare my return.

Business called BBB stating Ms. ******* came into the branch on Friday, June 16, 2023. Business gave her all the documents as requested, also copies of closing paperwork and Ms. ******* thanked them, stating all is OK.
Business stated depreciation is the same each year and has not changed since 2017 and will not change.

I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. I don't understand why they wouldn't call me to let me know they finally had what I requested. I don't know why they refused to communicate with me and would only respond to the BBB. Thanks for your help in resolving this matter
