I stopped at the shop on 3/15/2024 and asked one of the mechanics if they could tell me what the sound I was hearing coming from the passenger front side of my car was and after checking it I was told it was my strut and it needed replaced. I was given a price and I asked when they could complete the job I was told as soon as I could get the part. I immediately went to several souring parts stores to see if anyone had the item. I ended up needing to order it. I stopped back by the shop to inform them that it would be delivered and I could bring it on MondayI asked for a time I was told whenever I could get it to them. The next day was Sunday and it was delivered on Monday. I worked a part of the day and left work about a hour and a half early to get it to them so it could be completed with plenty time to spare. The car was left with the mechanic and I also ment to mention that I was given a higher amount by the manager and I had to inform him of what his mechanic had already quoted me. The mechanic then calls 20 minutes before they are scheduled to close to inform me they couldn’t get the bolt off and had to close for the evening because the manager had to leave for class . I then asked what time because I know have to call off work until I get my vehicle back. He says he didn’t know but he would give me a call. The next day I began calling the shop at 9am to find out what the progress was in order to determine if I could make it for the second half of the day. I could not get answer or leave a message due to no voicemail set up. I continued to call up until afternoon before I was able to get a answer. I spoke with the manager who gave the phone to the mechanic he stated he was still working on it. I then received a call around 4:30 pm informing me that he could not make the repair and to come pick up my vehicle. When I got there the mechanic was the only person in the shop he stated I tried everything and couldn’t get it out. I took my car to a different shop the following day who informed me that the bolt had been broken and they couldn’t get it out . I contacted Roadrunners manager who told me it was rusted and there isn’t anything they can do. He then tells me it will cost alot more ten he was originally charging me. He then left when I mentioned calling the police.

To whom this may concern I am including a photo of the damage caused to the bolt by Roadrunner Tires and I was not informed by the company that they damage my vehicle when it was picked up. It was not until the next day when I took the vehicle to another shop that they looked at the damage then showed me that the bolt can not be removed due to the damage. As you can see in the photo it appears they attempted to melt the bolt after they broke it. Which caused the price to  increase drastically. When I spoke to the manager at Roadrunners,  tires he informed me they did the best they could but would not compensate me for the damages. Which has caused me to miss work as well as the car can not be safely driven at this point.

I went to roadrunner tires on Sunday October 2nd, 2022. I was curious to a noise I was hearing in my vehicle while driving. I requested that the mechanics go on a test drive first with me to identify the problem before guessing on a repair. Two mechanics went with me on a test drive and all agreed where the problem was located. I was told by the mechanic to go purchase a part to be replaced. The mechanics told me it would be better if I pay in cash to avoid paying taxes with the debit card or credit card. We agreed on a set price to pay for the repairs. After the repairs were done as I drove off I immediately noticed the noise didn’t stop. To make sure I wouldn’t be faulted for anything I chose to turn around asap to tell them the problem was not fix. It was getting late in the evening and I was told to come back on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 because the shop was getting ready to close. The morning of Wednesday, October 5, 2022 I showed up to roadrunner tires. The staff was present except the mechanic that worked on my car and told me he would be here as well as the other mechanic who also went on a test drive. The guy there tried to persuade me to fix the other side and that will fix the problem, if that doesn’t work then it may be something else to do. I got uncomfortable and said I do not want to just play guessing games and rather get the work done elsewhere if your staff cannot pinpoint my car issue. I stressed that we went on a test drive and all agreed what will stop the noise so since the noise did not stop I requested a happy medium to receive my full refund back for the labor and part I purchased since the issue was not resolved and all I was getting is “maybe it could be something else”. The guy said he can’t give money back because the boss is out of town and for me to return next week so I left and returned on October 7, 2022. The same guys that was there from Wednesday on October 5, 2022 told me no that they will not refund it and for me to leave.
