I have used H. Jacks for all my HVAC needs and had no issues. In fact, I had pleasant experiences. When a plumbing issue in my guest bath came about, while I was in the process of selling my home, H. Jacks was my first call. When I first noticed my linoleum floorboards were wet with water behind the guest bath toilet, I shut the water supply-line off to the toilet immediately. It was off from Saturday to Wednesday (so 5 days) when H. Jacks was able to get out here to assess. H. Jacks sent 2 guys for this. My dad was there to let them in, as he is able to work from home and I had just started my new job this same week. However, my dad was in meetings and conference calls the entire work day, unable to monitor the plumber doing his job. Understandably, they had to turn the water on to figure out where the leak or issue was coming from. It was a crack in the porcelain. When I arrived home 9 hours later, I walked into a sopping wet mess - the supply line was clearly never shut off - water was spewing out of it, the toilet bowl was filled, and water was bubbling up from under the floorboards. The house was already on the market at this time. I called H. Jacks to ask how they planned to rectify the situation they exacerbated. They wanted to wipe their hands clean from it and sent their "flooring specialist" out to assess, stating that "this problem could have been going on a long time. Obviously there was a problem, that's why I called. But their plumber left the water on while I was not home and worsened the initial problem. My partner left work early and rushed home to meet the "specialist" who spent all of 4 minutes there assessing, despite my very detailed text describing what do (turn off the fans, press down on the floorboards to hear the noise; like you were walking through soaking wet grass barefoot). I confirmed, and the specialist admitted to NOT shutting off my fans to listen to this. This all resulted in an insurance claim to repair H. Jacks damages.Review from Dan M

Jayden, Willie, Mike and Dave did an AWSOME job installing my new furnace. No hidden costs or surprises. Showed up within an hour of me contacting them. They went above and beyond to make me happy. Professional work start to finish. And FAST! I see a lot of negative reviews but in all honesty, I can't find anything to complain about. Thanks Guys!Review from Lynn H

Our furnace stopped working and we called HJack who were available on a Sunday. They quoted us one price and charged us another- and they didn't even fix the furnace! Then they quoted us a ridiculous price for new furnace! I pray that people do their homework- we got a new furnace from another company for less than half the price they quoted!H Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co Response

We have attempted to contact you in regards to your recent service call, but have been unsuccessful up to this point. At your convenience, we would still like to speak with you to resolve your concerns to your 100% satisfaction. In your time of need, we dispatched a service technician to your residence on a Sunday Emergency. Once on-site, our technician determined that there was an issue with the main control board. Being that it was during the most recent polar vortex with the extreme cold, our technician was able to work diligently and provided temporary heat, which was quoted, so that we would not leave your home without heat. This allowed you additional time to make an informed decision on your next steps. Our technician provided you (2) two options: one to replace the faulty control board as a short-term solution, and the latter to completely replace the furnace as a long-term solution. Our technician’s assessment had found that the ductwork was not properly sized for the furnace required for your home, which is more extensive than our typical installation. Along with using Professional Grade Bryant Equipment, Expert Installation, Permits and Extended Warranty contributed to the increase in price for the proper installation of the new heating system. We are glad that your heating problems have been resolved, and we hope that it was done in a safe and professional workmanlike manner. I had new countertops and a kitchen sink installed and was in need of a plumber. The job included converting the 2 drain sink into a 1 drain sink, reattaching the kitchen and osmosis faucet and reconnecting the dishwasher. The pre-existing kitchen osmosis faucets were onsite and ready to be reattached. I was told by Brian with HJack's that the hardware had not been left behind by the countertop installers and would have to be ordered. His proposal notes included, "Open wall to expose drain under the sink" and "Countertop hole needed to be a little bigger for the kitchen faucet." I was given a proposal of $2025. I did NOT accept this proposal-both faucets and dishwasher were working fine before disconnecting to install the new countertops and new sink. HJack's plumbers, ( Brian & Cody), left the job-site without doing the proposed work. I called the countertop company who installed the new countertops and sink, (**** ***** ********), to send out one of their plumbers to access needing to increase the hole needed for the faucet and also, to confirm that the hardware had not been left behind to reattach the faucets and the dishwasher. The plumber from **** ***** confirmed ALL parts were onsite, hole did not need to be enlarged and no holes in the wall needed to be made. The **** ***** ******* reattached faucets and dishwasher in 35-45min. No ordering of additional parts, and no holes made in the walls!! Initially, FRUSTRATED-OUTDONE AND UPSET, about "potential" extra plumbing proposed cost from HJack's plumbing, I had accused **** ***** ******** of not leaving the hardware/parts for the faucets to be reattached along with NOT making the faucet hole large enough. I sincerely, apologized to **** ***** ********* I expected to pay something for plumbing services, by Brian and Cody, to HJack's Plumbing for reattaching the faucets and dishwasher. I DID NOT EXPECT AN "ATTEMPT" TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY HJACK'S PLUMBING !!!H Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co Response

They came to look at my garbage disposal to see if it was fixable or needed replaced. Two guys came opened the cabinet door told me 800 dollars to replace it. Called another plumber who came pushed the reset button on the bottom turned the crank on the bottom fixed it within 15 minutes for just a service call.H Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co Response

I called Hjacks after having a neighbor handyman fix my hot water tank since the fix didn’t work and it started leaking two days later. Hjacks came out the same day I called and gave me a repair option that they were upfront about in not being able to guarantee it would solve the problem permanently. After discussing with my husband, we decided to replace it and Hjacks came back out the next morning to install a new one. The technicians were very friendly, clean and were done before lunchtime. We’ve had hot water with no issues since then and no leaks in the basement either. The price was higher than buying a hot water tank in the store, but the professionalism and service guarantee were worth every penny they charged. Hjacks will be our go to plumbers now.Review from Jeannette P

H Jacks Plumbing and Heating was called to repair my daughter’s a/c after her basement flooded. Upon entering the home, the technician called their sister cleaning company to come to the home without our authorization. We had to call to cancel before the company came to the house. The technician then looked at the furnace, stated the circuit board needed replaced and would order it. In the meantime I asked him to clean the furnace. He charged $220 to clean it, average cost is $100 to $150, then proceeded to pull out separate parts saying those parts would cost additional money to clean. I declined. 2 days later he calls and states the circuit board was out of stock, that it would have to be ordered from Columbus and I needed to pay 1/2 up front. The following day he comes to the house with the incorrect sized circuit board. When I asked why after 4 days the a/c still wasn’t fixed he became condescending, disrespectful and combative. I then called the office to complain and both Managers wee also disrespectful and condescending. The following afternoon, 5 days after the initial call, a new technician came out with the correct circuit board and I was charged $863.00 for a part with labor that has average cost of $650.00. I was overcharged for the furnace cleaning as well as the circuit board and the technician tried to order additional services not requested. I had two leaks in the basement. so I turn off the water supply and I call H Jack plumbing & Heating Co. when the two plumbers arrive I walked them to the basement I turn the water valve back on and pointed out both of the leak. The plumber ask for payment upfront which was their policy I was told . My balance was $989 which I did pay before they start the job. When the plumber called out we have problem I rush to his side. To my surprised there was a waterfall coming from the ceiling in my kitchen!!! And both leaks downstairs still weren’t fixed!! I immediately called the office and spoke to Patrick he sent out another plumber. At this point I had three plumber in the house. The new plumber fix one leak downstairs and didn’t touch the second one. When I asked him why isn’t the other leaks fixed and why do I have water pouring out from my kitchen ceiling ? The plumber response was. You have old plumbing. You fix one leak you’re going to get another leak it’s like chasing your tail. He informed me they can Do the Re-piping for the entire house Which will cost $7000, but to fix the kitchen it will be an additional $600 I declined to pay anymore money and all three plumbers left the home. I called back to the office and complain spoke to Patrick again and he promised to send two more plumber out to fix the problem for no additional cost. Two more plumbers did come back out I walked them in the home I showed them the water fall in the kitchen and the second leak in the basement that wasn’t fixed. Again they said it will cost me $600 I declined to pay and they left. I called the office again a third time and spoke to Patrick and he promised he will send out two more plumbers and it will cost me nothing I told him to please email me that in writing which he did ….but the plumbers have not arrived to my home as of yet the situation has not been resolved there is no running water in the household!!!!!
