They take our money and never cover ANYTHING. They have switched our policy numbers 5 times within a year. We paid $400 to them last week then went to the *** yesterday only to be told its showing up that we have no insurance. They are a pitiful, greedy company and I wish they could get what they deserve. The WORST insurance Ive ever had in my life. I believe they do a lot of illegal stuff but are never held accountable namely, theft!

This company has not been helpful at all. They have given me wrong information. My claims have been mishandled from the beginning. No one ever responds to email or calls.

When I was on ******** they paid for cholesterol medicine and now they won't pay for ******* anymore and screwed me me my imterferon medicine I need. Will be taking business elsewhere during next open enrollment

I have been trying to file a "pay-out-of-pocket" bill for service that happened in August, 2023. It is now over a year since I've gotten any direct results. It's a constant back and forth of them trying to get out of a $1580 bill that I paid. I am of the total belief that this is their ruse. I believe they are in the hope that I will stop trying to get reimbursed.I KNOW I am right according to my insurance plan that is offered through my job.I feel that they hide behind the Blue Cross/Blue Shield name in order to get people feeling as though they are investing in a good company. Don't be fooled.I've had WAY better experiences dealing with ********. I strongly suggest you do not pay any more money to this shady business

Anthem ******** Advantage HMO does not uphold what their plan states. It is a constant battle to get them to return calls or deal with a benefit or billing problem. The plan state that diagnostic imaging is covered. I have two different imaging situations that Anthem has not returned my calls. I will have to settle with these providers soon and *** $200 in charges that they should have paid the majority of the charges. So I feel Anthem is a terrible health company preying on senior citizens. I am changing companies as soon as I can, but these charges need to be addressed and settled.

We choose a high premium, low deductible plan through my husband's employer as we wanted to ensure we had good benefits with our first child. After going through a pregnancy and post-partum, I can generally say that getting coverage through Anthem was one of the most infuriating experiences I have ever had. Not only did I have to change ** offices at first (apparently they covered the ** herself, but not the office location? Never heard of that and got stuck with a $300 bill), but then after verifying with Anthem that my new office was in fact covered, they "accidentally" billed them as out of network. Every. single. office visit and lab draw. Each time I went to the **, I had to contact Anthem to try and correct their denied claims. And depending on the rep, was sometimes not fixed. I ended up paying more money for lab draws than my actual hospital stay (which included an unplanned C-section). I then purchased a breast pump through the Anthem recommended ***. The *** verified insurance coverage, and then sent me the pump. Now, several months later, I am receiving a bill to pay full price for the pump as Anthem is now claiming it is out-of-network again. If given the option, I would never purchase a plan through Anthem again.

This company sucks! They have my insurance as inactive, but it's not. Nobody can help change this. I basically have no coverage for them, but pay every month. Some heads need to roll, and action taken ASAP! Not even worth 1 star.

Absolute garage insurance company. The representatives on the chat feature are not helpful at all nor do they explain any of their reasoning, and at times they are somewhat rude. Depending on which rep you talk to on the chat or by phone, their story changes on how or why your claim was processed the way it was (or the story they give you changes by the day). Coverage is also not very forthcoming. For the money that I spend on insurance, I feel like I get little to no benefit from it. The most infuriating insurance company I have ever dealt with. If going without insurance was an option, I would chance it in a heart beat if it meant that I didn't have to deal with Anthem.

I’ve been paying this company $1200/month over the last year. Every time my doctor or dentist tries to file a claim on my behalf, Anthem refuses to pay. They have my birthdate set up in their system incorrectly. I’ve been trying to get this fixed for the last year, with no success. This is incompetence of the highest!!!

They are worse than Farm Bureau! Typical insurance pyramid scam!
