Clearpath Utilities was working in my neighborhood putting in sleeves for AT&T fiber optics. When they hydro cored under my concrete driveway at the sidewalk they raised the driveway a 1/2” above the sidewalk, causing a trip hazard per the city of Columbus code. They first told me it was my problem, I filed a complaint with PUCO, AT&T called me that day, and Clearpath showed up at my door. Clearpath project manager asked me about putting a patch in my driveway, and I refused as a patch will drop my property value, because the driveway wouldn’t match the rest of the driveway, per 2 realtors I spoke too. They then turned it over to AT&T, saying it was existing and we couldn’t come to an agreement. AT&T sent someone out who took pictures, they then gave it a claim number, and sent it to their insurance company Sedgwick. They asked for pictures and an estimate to fix the driveway properly. They then called me and left a message that they were sending it back to their client, and that Clearpath would be taking care of the claim and will contact me, Sedgwick gave me an email address and phone number for Clearpath, I’ve sent emails and called the number I was given, and it wasn’t in service. I have an estimate of $5700.00 to repair the damages to my driveway due to their negligence.Business response

Mr *****,
A quick review of Google Street View, quickly reveals the raised concrete driveway is a preexisting condition. The current Google Street View picture is dated June of 2019 and the raised drive way is evident in the picture. I’ve attached some screen shots of the driveway. The driveway was replaced sometime between 2011 and 2014 and the raised concrete is evident in those pictures as well.
The entire subdivision has extensive concrete heaving throughout the driveways and sidewalks. This is mostly a natural condition for the area. I have also attached a few photos from the area where they’ve had to grind some of the heaving.
If you need additional information, please contact me.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
****** ******The driveway was poured in 2013, I added pictures of my driveway in 2019, 2020, and a picture taken by the Franklin County Auditors Office supplied to me by my mortgage company. The sidewalk and approach were poured in 1988. The concrete doesn’t just raise for no reason. Your project manager tried it say it was the trees, but if that was the case, the sidewalk on both sides of the approach would be raised as well, but they are not
